I have a friend who just started Nutri System and lost like 7 lbs. in two weeks and she says it's been about the portions for her. All the food comes pre packaged so it really helps her not over eat. She has even told her mother that when she goes over for weekend dinner that she is bringing her own food.
It's scary, isn't it? I know me and K were talking about "portions" regarding his salad dressing he got at McD's. Well, I know it's another fast food joint, that has this good salad, and the dressing, is like 200 calories per serving. Not bad, for an overall meal. However, ONE PACKAGE is 2.5 servings. So you're looking at 500 calories, JUST FOR SALAD DRESSING.
And some of those dressings, are up in the high 300 range. For one serving, one packet. Yikes.
It's very scary when you really measure and take note of how "big" a portion is. Glad you found out....that way, you can eat a third of it. :)
I have totally been careful on checking serving sizes and portion sizes, because a lot of times it will say 4 servings, but the portion is maybe 1/2 of that serving size, so you have to double everything on the nutrients lable and something that looked good at first, is actually horrible!
