Getting back into the swing of things

Hi, folks.
The one thing I worry about is getting back into the swing of things after being sick for any amount of time, because this is what usually sidelines me in any of my previous efforts. Right now, I'm suffering with a sinus infection where if I leave the house I get sicker (the humidifiers in the house keep me reasonably better). I actually forced myself to do a half hour on the treadmill just to make sure that I keep going.
But I have been doing so well on my exercise, and I want to make sure that I keep going on it. What can I do to get back in the swing of things, and would it be a good idea to keep going on something to keep me going for at least 30 minutes a day in the meantime (I'm doing the President's Challenge online) until the sinus infection clears up? Thanks.

As long as you feel up to I think it is a good idea to try to do something or go through the motions. However, don't exert yourself too much it could prolong your illness. Even just 15 minutes is good or setting aside that time to rest uninterrupted I think might keep you in the right frame of mind so you don't turn into a lump while you wait to get over you sinus infection.
I do hope you feel better soon!

I totally agree with Gretchen on this one.....listen to what your body is telling you. I would imagine that with sinus problems it's pretty obvious when you don't feel up to going on, or doing anything ;-)
Hope it all "clears" up for you soon ~

I don't have any real advice - but I went through something like that in December.
This is a horrible time of year and I know lots of us are fighting off various germs - but Gretchen is right - you can prolong your illness by forcing yourself to do too much!
Try some yoga, or even breaking down your exercise into a few 10 minutes spurts.
