What exercise program works for you??

I thought I'd ask. As I have two things. Slim in 6, and running on a treadmill. I am thinking about buying that ball workout, but it's like $40, ouch! And I'm broke/poor for awhile.
So, what is your regime like? Aerobics? Sports? Walking? Running? Do tell. Maybe I'll get some ideas.
And if you're poor/broke like me, what do you do if things cost money? What "cheap" things do you do?

Hey Cher- I think what you have going is great. Now unless you're bored with it or something I would continue as is.....if you are looking for a ball, try KMart- I got mine there and it was less than $30, with a video ;-)
For me I like walking (jogging was one thing I was doing a while ago...but I'm sort of getting back into, and taking it slowly, building up my stamina. KWIM?) My new thing is the bike- which I MUST do tomorrow, haven't done it since Friday!!!
Basically at this time my things are
All in good time :-)

I'm in the broke/poor group too :).
I run a couple of times a week.
This is a great question!!!
I use Walk Away the Pounds videos. I've had them for a while. A friend bought one series and I bought another series, both containing miles one, two and three, and we exchange them. I do those about two times a week. I used to use it on Thursdays too, but now I'm out walking/running on Thursdays and will be more when the 5k gets closer.
I have a few yoga DVD's I use sometimes. I also have weights, eight, five and three pounds, that I have gotten over the years. They're not too expensive. I do weights twice a week.
I have HKD three times a week, which I hope to be able to keep up with 'cause I'm a bit strapped for cash now too, and it's kinda pricey. But walking and running don't cost more than a good pair of shoes. You can get DVDs from collagevideo and from Amazon for good prices. You can also check workout videos and DVDs out from the local libraries too. A set of free weights shouldn't cost more than $15, depending on the weight-the cost seems to go up as the weight goes up. A stability ball costs less than $20, and you can do push ups, crunches, ab exercises lying down with it between your legs or over your chest, weights moves and all kinds of stuff with them.
IG - thanks on the ball thing. Maybe I'll try Walmart, cuz man, on man, the KMart is far. And I do need to pick up an ultra cheap shower curtain liner too. lol. $30 isn't too bad, with a video. Biking, there is a bike, for some reason, I always feel like I'm not working hard enough, but then again, I do it on the machine at like not resistance, cuz I don't want to bulk up my legs too much. hehehe. Maybe I will go for the ball. Oh yeah, been walking the dog, so that's walking. :)
Cajun_mommy - what kind of strength training videos do you have? are those the Firm tapes? I should so some of those a few times a week. Ugh. I just realized with school, I miss 2 days a week to work out. The only good thing about me doing a routine over and over again.....I don't fall all over myself. lol. Maybe I'll try the local library. I remember someone saying to rent them. To see if I like it, and if I do, I'll buy them online or something. In regards to the trampoline, I should just buy a jumprope. I hear that's a DARN GOOD workout.
Miranda - good timing. lol. I don't even know if we have open houses, ALTHOUGH, duh Cher, I have a gym membership. I just need to pick up a schedule. Maybe try yoga or something. lol. And for anyone, there's always Craigslist (not sure if you have that in Canada). (totally OT question. on a MythBuster commercial, they show a Sasqwatch, sorry about the spelling, and he has a french accent. Are they to be found in Quebec? I figured Sasqwatch in sasqwatchan. no? lol)
SS - you can rent them from Netflix, really? lol. Jeez, and that's cool, cuz I could keep them as long as I want, then switch them out. COOL!!!
Lorie - Thanks for the info. I have weights (yay), free and bands. So, no money there. You mentioned using the ball, I wonder how much a medicine ball costs. That'd be good to strengthen my mid-section for golf. :) BTW, what is HKD? I know you do karate, right? Is that a shortened version of the name?
Thanks everyone. For all your help. I think I'll get the ball, and start renting some videos. And check out what the local gym has in classes. All should be $30 or less, for the ball. The rest, I'm already paying for. lol.
Hap Ki Do, HKD, is not exactly Karate, but it offers the same great workout that I am certain Karate does and probably teaches a lot of the same lessons as far as character and hard work that Karate does as well. Hap Ki Do is Korean, instead of Japanese as is Karate.
Well, wouldn't you know it. I can learn how to give a lapdance via Carmen Electra....found it on Netflix. Or, I can learn how to Hula. lol. Too funny. Thanks for telling me, I never would've realized they had these!!!!
Now, do I learn to give a lapdance for K for V-day, or give up knowing, his xgf was a x-pro (literally) at it and go for the hula instead. hmmm........the choices. hehehe.
Cher, you totally kill me.
