Hi Im new to the board. I am 38 yrs old and had my last child 1 1/2 yrs ago. I am about 40 lbs overweight. I have a 16, 13 and 1 yr old. I am busy. But I have found out that I am a bordom eater/snacker. I am stuck at home I don't work anymore and I am raising an adorable little boy who is sooooooooo busy. I am stressed, fatigued and just plain tired. I don't like drinking water and try to force myself but I only drink about 1 glass a day, if I remember. Any suggestions on what to do or how to get started on anything? I have a treadmill but my little one doesnt let me get to it. He is up at 6:30am and takes a nap from 12:30-1:30 (thats it) and goes down for the night at 7:30-8:00pm. By that time I'm whipped. Help. Anything? Also know that when he naps thats my cleaning/laundry time too. I am 5ft 8 in tall and 206 lbs. I'm just tired of hearing people say oh you are tall so you can hide it well. Any suggestions please let me know.

Thanks Dawn

Hey Dawn welcome to the board! It is always more difficult to plan to exercise when you've got kids around, but it can be done, and there are some women here who can give you some ideas.

Hi Dawn, and welcome! I know finding time can be tricky, but in all honest I think it's most of ours easiest excuse not to do something; anything! Even if, like Miranda suggested it's a 30min video, it counts!! Is there someone else who can take of the baby in the later hours of the day? Or even (and I'm not sure where you are) you could take him out for a walk in the early hours, pre-naptime??

Many of us here have similar issues....finding time, getting support, etc... You'll find this a wonderful board for support and suggestions. Good luck starting off ;-)

Hi Dawn, nice to meet you. I have 4 kids myself and I pay my 13 year old to watch my 2 year old for 30 to 45 minutes when I exercise. You can work out a deal with one of your older kids. Doesn't even have to be money. Make their favorite meal, rent them a movie or a game, just ask what they would like to do in trade.

Try some flavored watter? Add a little lemon? Crystal light has flavors you can just empty into a glass or bottle of water. It's hard to get the water routine going. Good luck!
