QOTW- Self Image....
| Mon, 02-20-2006 - 7:30pm |
Recently I've been thinking about my self esteem, and thoughts on my own self image. I know many (if not all) of us look at ourselves in the mirror each day. Either the dreaded full length mirror or just the mirror above the sink.
Do you feel confident about yourself in general?
What do you like about your body?
What do you dislike about your body?
On a low day what do you do to pick yourself up?

Do you feel confident about yourself in general?
Ummm, it really depends on the day.
Do you feel confident about yourself in general?
In general - Yes
What do you like about your body?
My arms and calves are awesome - I have very defined cut muscles on both.
Do you feel confident about yourself in general?
Most of the time I'm pretty happy in my skin. Like most I do have off days where I have low self-esteem. I try to be a positive person though, so don't let those days send me too far off the happy trail :-)
What do you like about your body?
It might sound a little strange but I like my feet and hands!! I also like my eyes....they have every color under the sun, well except red, lol!
What do you dislike about your body?
Definitely stomach!!
On a low day what do you do to pick yourself up?
When I'm having a bad day I like to be alone. Either cook something good (not something unhealthy necessarily), light some candles and enjoy my own company. If things are really bad I may call up a friend to meet up with them, but that's rare, as I really do like to work things out by myself.

Hello Ladies,
I am new to this board and want to say that I enjoy your
posts very much. Unfortunately, I'm at an all time low on
the way I'm feeling about my body image. I never thought that
I would have let myself get this out of shape.
I look forward to reading what everyone has to say.

What do you like about your body? I used to like parts but nothing since I gained weight.
What do you dislike about your body? Everything. Really, I have a long list. I would love to win the lotto so I can get a complete plastic surgery makeover.
On a low day what do you do to pick yourself up? I just try not to think about it.

On a low day what do you do to pick yourself up? Just suck it up, maybe take a little more care in what I wear or my make up. Try to do things that I know will make me feel better eat better, exercise maybe.
