This week seemed like an eternity...perhaps it was being sick, who knows.
In any case I'm happy to see Friday here again!
What plans have you got this weekend?
What's the weather forecast like?

I wish I had plans for this weekend. I've been couped up in this house all week with the twins. I swear, I haven't even went out to get the mail! Why do I always have to be the one to make plans? Couldn't my dh act like he'd like to spend time alone with me? We use his parents as our sitters, but I'm the one always making the plans! If it weren't for our anniversary, my birthday, and the necessity of Christmas shopping, we'd never leave the house alone! He's getting so excited about the summer and 'where are we going to go with the kids?' Don't get me wrong, I love doing stuff with the kids and am also looking forward to it, but I NEED A VACATION TOO!!!!! Last week we went to an Arena football game, something we used to do as a date. He thought it would be a great idea to bring our oldest with us. And she had a great time, and he had a great time, and yes, even I had a great time, but still, am I wrong to want to just go out without the kids? (I don't expect anyone to actually answer that question.)
O.K. I'm calm. I realize you didn't really expect this kid of response, but I kinda lost it for a minute. The good news is our anniversary is the 21st of this month, so I'll get a decent date by the time the month is up.

Men can be sooooo dumb!! However, I would recommend you make a request of him. Tell him you would like him to plan one date night once a month for just you and he. Set up sitting arrangements set the whole thing up. When he does a good job, you need to tell him what a good boy he is and how much you appreciate it. Maybe even reward him with something he likes and make a point to tell him since he did such a good job setting up the date night you wanted to do something nice in return.
I have read that this is suppose to really work. It hasn't worked for me yet but my DH and I are going through a lot of crap right now.
That said I just hate that men have to be told what to do and be reward as if they were three! lol For some reason
What plans have you got this weekend? Bowling tonight, then a charity bowling thing Saturday morning. Other than that nothing.
What's the weather forecast like? Mid 40s to mid 50s. Tomorrow suppose to be windy.

First, Erin, I can sympathize with you. I rarely go anywhere without my kids in tow. My Dh doesn't seem to think it's a big deal, he loves having them around since he doesn't get to see them much because of work. I also know the feeling of always having to arrange the babysitter. I don't think men get the fact that once in a while we need to feel and be treated like we did while dating!!!
What plans have you got this weekend?
I am going to hear my brother-in-law's band play!!! I'll be saving my calories tomorrow for a few beers!!

What plans have you got this weekend?
Hmmm, maybe a movie, hopefully another yoga class, maybe the farmer's market - geez, I sound pretty sure of myself, hey??
What plans have you got this weekend? Guess I'm going back to HKD tonight. Been off w/the cold, mostly because of the coughing. SO and I are going to have dinner after class, probably Middle Eastern. Saturday, I have class in the afternoon, before that, hanging out with SO for a while, after that, it's me and the cat. I'm starting to get stuff ready to move over to SO's place. Sunday, church then I'll spend some quality time with SO before he goes off to Chicago next week.
What's the weather forecast like? Cold, but looks like we may see the sun.

I can relate to the "no plans" blues, Erin, and the "debt diet" Rainey. (Are you watching that Oprah series too?) We have a 1 year old and our only babysitter is my mom, who comes over 3 afternoons a week already (after she's done with her own full time job) so we try not to ask for weekend babysitting that often. Instead what we've started to do is create Saturday date nights at home. After we put Sophia to bed, we have dinner, a glass of wine, and make a little love nest on the living room floor in front of the fire. Since we work opposite shifts, we both really look forward to this time to connect and be romantic.
So that's what I have planned tonight. Tomorrow we're going to a reunion of parents and babies (toddlers now) from our Bradley Childbirth class. We've had a couple reunions, and it is always so fun to see all of the kids together.
Health-wise my plans are to stay mindful of my eating and make healthy choices and to exercise today and tomorrow for at least 45 minutes.
Erin
