I think I actually eat worse and/or more when I work out and eat less/better when I'm not. Figure if I'm not burning calories then I better not spend them as freely. If I could just get where I eat less and work out I actually might make some headway.
Your way of thinking makes total sense....I think when you are "out there" taking care of your body (and by that I mean both physically and mentally) you want to eat better as well!
Of course there are some out there who either don't workout at all, and eat very sensibly or those who workout consistently and don't care what they eat!
And then there are those (arrrgh!) who don't workout, eat what they want and don't put a pound on!!
For me it's a little of both! Most of the time I'm pretty aware of what I'm eating (and for the most part I'd say I do pretty ok)....but like you I suppose I am more careful when into the full swing of working out with what I eat.
I'm kind of half and half. Whne I'm really working out I try to eat right and even if its a day that I don't work out I still stick to eating right as I don't want to gain. But when I take a couple of months off from working out then I tend to be worse with eating because I know that if I'm not working out regularly I will not lose any weight and I can't see cutting back if I'm not going to lose.

I am totally the same way... I tend to do better in ALL areas if I'm doing better in one!!
