~*~*~*~*GOOD LUCK MIRANDA!~*~*~*~* It sounds like a wonderful opportunity! I think many of us have parents that we love dearly and are wonderful people, but are a touch on the pushy side when it comes to looking out for their "kids" "best interest" ;) I always remind myself that although mom and dad can be a bit pushy at least they care enough to always have their nose stuck in instead of being totally uninterested in my life. I feel ya on the boundry setting though. I am sure it will all work out. Good luck!!
It's probably for the best then.....and I agree nothing worse than moving when you're not quite ready. Not that it's the same thing but I had to move out of an apartment once when I wasn't ready to- was never really happy or all that 'at home' in the apartment that I moved to.
It's good the HR woman was upfront. Imagine if you had left and it wasn't what you wanted. Maybe something else will come along in the company. Many organizations pull from prior interviews to save on recruiting costs.
I can't imagine moving, which is not a good way to feel, but..I am pretty settled. So, I can appreciate your wanting to plan.
Hopefully the right opportunity will come up when you are ready. Or, who knows the dream job may change your entire frame of mind about the move.
Good luck...MIRANDA :) Your positive spirit will bring the right job to you.

I just came into this thread late... have I missed when the actual phone interview is?
Haven't heard about the phone interview yet, but advancement is definitely something I will be bringing up.
That's good news indeed. Wouldn't it be so great if things just fell into place the way you want them to. How often does that happen, LOL.
Good luck with the interview.
So I talked to teh HR woman in Calgary about this job and it doesn't look like it's going to work out.
Just because that wasn't the right job doesn't mean the right one isn't out there. You'll find it when you are ready.
I'm a planner too. I'm already planning our move next year!

All in good time Miranda!
