Hello....got another good book to suggest.
TITLE: What to Say When You Talk to Yourself
AUTHOR: Shad Helmstetter Ph.D.
GOAL: Retrain your subconsious from a can't attitude to an active mind that is working towards your goals effortlessly.
MAJOR CONCEPT: We have been trained with a can't attitude because we have been told no, and tell ourselves no. You can change this programming by giving your subconcious specific actions to complete for you. Spend time to reinforce postitive thoughts in your subconsious. How? Instead of saying, "I will lose weight" (this does not put your subconsious into action, it puts your subconcious in a state of..."eventually I will get to that"). You say..."I excercise x times/week. I always eat well. I look good in my clothes because I am at my ideal weight". The concept is this...you have now given your subconcious the SPECIFIC directions to get you to your goal. If you do not speak as though the goals are in action, then your mind will not work to persue them.
This concept helped me quit other annoying and unhealthy habits. I recommend it highly.
