Hey ladies, you know Thursday can just be one of those days - it's not near the beginning of the week so maybe you aren't feeling very energetic, but it's not the end of the week either so you're not feeling very excited.

BUT if you take each Thursday and think of it as a MINI-FRIDAY it can soooo much better!!!

So dress down - it's casual mini-friday!!

Mini-Friday? Blech! Around here its like mini-Monday.

I'm tired, I'm stressed & I haven't been able to nap all week.

I had a second interview at a place & decided that I don't like them at all, hopefully they won't call me. I applied to another job I saw & they wrote me back saying they won't be doing any interviewing for a while, why post the opening then?

My current boss has been difficult all week & my co-worker called in sick so I don't even have a buddy today.

The only good thing is that tomorrow is Friday - oh, & I didn't eat my poptarts this morning so other than 1 small bag of chips I have a perfect eating record today. I'll be going fun stuff tonight - shopping for paint for my kitchen backsplash. My mom & I will be doing a venetian plaster technique.

And exercise - out the window this week. Other than yoga on Tues. Maybe I'll be able to get in a workout this weekend. I really need another few hours each day.

Hope everyone else has a better mini-friday!

I am fighting the winter blahs! I love to cook especially being house bound but when I cook I EAT! I am going to have a "me" day today. This means I let the housework go a little, I watch "Friends" DVD's all day, and fix "breakfast" for dinner at night. Not thrilling for the single people on the board I am sure. But for a mom of two this is a treat. I have a good pankcake recipe too that I like:

Flour (can be whole wheat)
1 cup fat free sour cream
1 cup fat free cottage cheese
4 egg whites

Mix the first three then when blended add in enough flour to thicken to a thick pancake batter consistency. Serve with sweetened sliced fresh strawberries. This taste like french crepes or blintzes and has lots of protien. I think it taste just as good with fat free ingredients as it does with the fatty ingredients.

So far I'm on track I usually do only 4 days of exercise and so far this week I'm at four already and I usually do Friday at the gym.

This weekend should be easy, My husband is working all weekend and I usually do things with my parentts and they will be out of town this weekend so it will be me and girls vegging and hanging out. I usually eat more when I'm with my husband.

It's not going too badly actually! Got the house cleaned today, I like to get this done prior to the weekend so I can actually enjoy being home....can't stand clutter and mess around me!

As for exercise-- the week's not been so great for that. Though I have gotten some 'alternative' exercise in ;-)

Food hasn't been too bad.

Weekend should be alright-------

Sounds like we all have experienced ups and downs today. My mini Friday was pretty good. Got to talk with a couple friends, got my elliptical done this morning and am planning on walking on the treadmill tonight!!! Eating hasn't been too bad and most of all, I resisted eating any chocolate cupcakes with fudge frosting that I made for my son's birthday party at school. I didn't even lick the bowl or my fingers!!!!!

Rough week for me, PMS, car repairs, out-of-state visitors, and my sister had a setback with her health(she's Hepatitis C +). However until tonight I was right on track with my exercise and eating. I think I'll blame the PMS for this one...I reverted back to a very bad habit, eating off my kids plates when clearing the dishes:-( I was able to stop myself before it got too bad and will compensate by skipping my treat(Edy's Frozen Whole Fruit bar) Unfortunately I skipped the treadmill today, just didn't feel up to it. I'll have to make it up over the weekend.
