although I do believe ANYONE can have a GREAT body, I have to say, MOST of us do NOT have the time they do. Nor do we have chef's, trainers, nannies, etc.

So, I honestly believe it's unreal for ppl like us to get a "hard body" and work hard at it in six weeks.

Hollywood is just so fake. If I had the time they did, I'd look good too.

HI INKED

I DO AGREE MOST OF US DON'T HAVE TO THE TIME TO DO IT IN 6 WEEKS...GOD KNOWS I DEFINITELY DON'T...BUT WE CAN HAVE NICE FIGURES...EVEN IF IT IS ONLY 30 MINUTES A DAY!...AND YOU CAN BREAK THAT UP THROUGH OUT THE DAY IF YA NEED TOO...10 MIN HERE AND 15 THERE...THATS WHAT I DO SOMETIMES WHEN I CAN'T DEVOTE A FULL 30 OR 40 MINUTE WORKOUT...

I HAVE 2 KIDS, HUBS AND I OWN A BUSINESS,4 DOGS, THE WHOLE NINE YARDS...I FIND TIME EVERY DAY TO EXCERCISE...BUT THATS THE HARDEST PART...TIME!!!!! WE ARE ALL SO WRAPPED UP IN EVERYTHING ALL DAY WHEN WE COME HOME WHO ON EARTH WANTS TO WORK OUT? OR GET BACK IN THE CAR TO GO TO THE GYM? I DON'T.....

JUST A COUPLE OF TIPS TO KEEP IN SHAPE:

1. POWER WALK WHILE YOU GROCERY SHOP
2. PARK THE FARTHEST YOU CAN FROM THE STORES ENTRANCE...
3. CARRYING THOSE HEAVY GROCERIES ARE LIKE LIFTING WEIGHTS
4. PICK UP YOUR KIDS JUST TO CUDDLE THEM FOR A FEW MINUTES...(THEY ARE PERSONAL WEIGHTS)
5. JUMP IN THE TRAMP-O-LINE WITH THE KIDS
6. BUY A PILATES DVD OR RENT IT TO COPY IT

YOU WILL BURN THOSE CALORIES AND THE GOD AWFUL WEIGHT WILL COME OFF..EVEN IF IT TAKES AWHILE...JUST KEEP UP WITH IT...AND TREAT YOURSELF TO ONE BAD THING EVERYDAY!...LOL

MY PERSONAL FAV IS RING DINGS WITH MY COFFEE IN THE AFTERNOON...

I HAVE LOST 45 POUNDS SINCE HAVING THE KIDS...AND I HAVE KEPT IT OFF FOR 3 YEARS!

I HOPE IT HELPS TO ALL WHO READ THIS...

Miranda:

That article's awesome! I have to read it a few more times, I can't get the visual on all of the excercises, but every little bit helps.

Inke...

I agree to a point. Isn't it all relative? Like, if we work harder than we ever had and improve our food intake 45% than we are going to look 10X better in 6 weeks.

The 'great' body is realative too...we are all built a certain way, but any frame can be in it's best shape, no matter what your proportions or bra size. Everyone is not going to look like Selma or Giselle or who ever your perfect body image is. I think that we are creating a disservice to ourselves if we believe everyone can't have a great body. In my mind a woman who busted her tail to get form 18 to 8 has a great body. Even if it's not made for a bikini or a male magazine.

The reality of it all is, we are not being paid millions, nor do we have the trainer, or the chefs or the jacuzzi's or spas to keep us AS motivated.

We are in that REAL reality place they keep selling us on t.v.

It is nice to dream though :)

Can I just call you my hero? I have 30 lbs to lose before starting a family. I have a reasonable time to do it. But, I am so worried about never having a good pre baby body and then getting to a point of no return.

You are an inspiration. I think women just don't make the time for themselves. I am guilty, and I don't even have kids.

Thanks for your direct honest advice...you are AWESOME :)

thank you for the warm and fuzzies...and I totally agree with you if a woman can go from a size 18 to an 8...they have a great figure...cause its really hard work!!!!!

Women should be commended on that alone...and I keep a pic of me at my heaviest on the fridge just to remind me of the work it took to take it off..lol and it keeps me motivated...

and you are right women are very judgemental when it comes to their own bodies...but I look alot better then I did...and I am alot healthier now...

I have my fingers crossed for you on your weight loss...I know we don't know each other...but i will be here to support you if ya need it...

NJSC:

I just wrote this long thank you and then lost it.

Long story short...thank you...I will talk to you often I am sure.

Glad for all the support this board provides. I am willing to do the hard work to get to where I need to be :) Half of the battle is hearing that it can be done, there is no magic formula...but, it CAN be done!

Regards,
Taz
