Wedding Weigh Loss
26

Okay, I'm happy about the wedding. Sad I haven't really lost anything. I guess I can attribute it to gaining muscle, but all my clothes fit the same too. Seriously, I have been working out at least 3 days a week and walking A LOT on the weekends. I am totally exhausted because of school. I'm eating better than normal. And yet, NOTHING!!! Someone, just shoot me.

So, okay. I have 1 month before I should find a dress and 2 months before I get married. What would you ladies suggest for some weight-loss. For now, fast is fine, I just wanna feel good about myself. I know when I went to Vegas, I felt good about my weight, even though I was still "fat". Because I had lost about 10lbs and my clothes were just falling off my body.

I weigh 146 right now. In December, I weighed 140. By May, I was hoping to be 130-135. But since I'm not even losing 1lb a week, what am I doing wrong?

Someone, help. Should I go to slimfast everyday? Just to lose and then slowly reincorporate food and do it the "healthy" way after the wedding? I know K doesn't care how I look, but I'd really like to feel GOOD in the dress and not look at the pictures later and throw them out.

Sad day (being half asleep isn't helping the "depression").

You have a good thing going there. I think I'll step in on that myself. I have plenty of slimfast. Having a salad with it is a good idea. I used to do slimfast and be so hungry and feel like it was just so difficult. Then I read the plan and realized you can, and you're supposed to, have snacks in between, like the banana and veggies and stuff. Now I can do slimfast and have my bananas and carrots and stuff (see what happens when you actually read the "directions"). The one plan I read on a slimfast package even offered popcorn as an evening snack.

I'm sure you'll look great on your wedding day as long as you're healthy and smiling.

After putting all my new foods into fitday, I have to say, I am a big time carb addict!!! I didn't realize how many carbs a banana has, or even milk and cereal. jeez. all the foods i like. :(

{ohmigod. I just sneezed, that HURT!!! My ribs hurt from golf (well, the muscles around them). oh dear gawd that hurt}

Yup, there's this place I buy my water, and they have these CUTE Nalgene water containers. I have the blue one, I'm going to go buy the pink one. :)

That was hilarious. Thanks for the chuckle. I've never read the slimfast directions, although from watching the commercials I know they always talk about one for breakfast, snakc, one for lunch, snakc, healthy dinner. lol. and usually they'd show their snacks, but

IG - too funny about the sneeze. :) I figure if I like my water bottle I'll use it. lol

Miranda - yup, even the "light" popcorn is low in calories and fat. But most ppl I have known hate it. lol. My folks have eaten some and were like, yuck, ditto with K. And my brother too. They all say, "how can you eat this stuff?!?!?!" and I usually say, "this is what you eat when regular stuff gives you headaches. lol"

I'm also going to try to carry around my water bottle more. Unfortunately when filled with water, it's heavy. lol. I had to tell you, IG, about this girl at my school. she drinks sooo much water during class i'm amazed she doesnt' float by. HOWEVER, she grosses me out. when she drinks water, she's so crude about it. Last night she had regular water bottles and she's wrap her mouth around the out, suck, and then POP when she was done. Personally, it's very distracting. Even when she has her bottle, she has to twist off the cap, make tons of noise, suck the water (yes, with noises) and then twist the top back on. dear gawd she's disgusting and distracting. i sit there and think, "i sooo don't want to drink water if i slightly look like that".

okay, that was my story and rant. i still have to go read those water articles.

Oh, why do I do this to myself? i feel so yucky. I forgot that when I force myself to drink too much water, I feel sick. I feel sick now. I've drank 12oz already (for me that's a lot by this hour after eating breakfast). and now I feel like vomiting water. bleah.

mental note: drink it slower, and work my way up

Slow down Cher - I also think that if you really don't like drinking water, to try those crystal light singles, because they will give you some flavor and only 10 calories.
