My weakness is anything in a wrapper. So long as I don't have to do anything but open it up and at the most nuke it for 3 min I am eating it. It is not that I cannot or do not cook. It is just I can't seem to prepare a meal mid day just for one person.
I have really made an effort not to buy anything that falls into that category. But there is sometimes whining from my hubby. This weekend I actually bought chips. The sun came out. Most of the snow is finally gone time to BBQ.
I just need to stick to my guns. But it is hard to say no when you want something too.
LOL...Gretchen, I'd gladly do housework all day, if there would be a few (non-caloric) slices of hot Italian bread and EV olive oil waiting for me at each meal. ;)
I get around midday meal preparation by cooking several days' worth of lunches at once (LOL). Usually I'll get some ground chicken or turkey and grill it all to drain out the fat. Then I'll add some diced onions, peppers, and herbs and grill it all together for a few more minutes - finally I'll put that on several fresh baked club rolls and I've got lunch for a week. ;) Or I'll cook a few pieces of chicken at once at heat them individually for a week of lunches.
But the trick is to keep it from getting monotonous...the same thing every day can make me want to go out for pizza once in a while. (LOL)
My weakness would definitely be CHEESE!!! Lovely, lovely cheese... I just returned to the States after spending five wonderful years in France and my addiction is complete. Now that I am working out and watching my diet, my little friends have been ignored. But I still dream of Smoked Gouda, Edam, Chevre with a good fresh bread....
Oh, and salty, crispy things around once a month... Ouch.
Hey Chris, I make whole grain breads too! I love a slice with some wildflower honey on top... yum.
My biggest weakness is definitly ice cream. And when I'm sick (like now) or stressed I always want it so badly. And you know, I just remembered that my mom used to tellme that when I was a baby she would put me in a stroller and walk down to the 7-11 and get me a milkshake...put it in my bottle and that I loved it so much. Yes I was a chunky baby, ha. She said the dr ended up putting me on lowfat milk diet. I wonder if she mentioned the milkshakes to the dr? haha. Oh well. Anyway... ice cream... definitly!
There's now a half-gallon of vanilla fudge frozen yogurt in my own freezer for Easter Sunday onward! I'll need to share it with visitors, or else to make certain to spread that out over a couple of weeks or longer. ;)

Back in college I got into the habit of only two meals on weekends, or any
