Here is information on the Nike Womens Marathon.... Not a runner? No excuse - you can walk it! It's not until October so there is plenty of time to train.... Come on take a risk - go for it!

Thanks for posting the link to this Darcy!
~and if anyone else has an 'event' link pass it on too :-)
Success is 10% talent and 90% heart!

Oh ya, I'm doing that someday. I already told SO about it because he has said he wants to visit the west coast. I told him about the Team in Training and how I want to walk in one of their events someday, and that we could combine a vacation and that event. He seemed up for it, but it won't be this year. Between our wedding and the trip to FL for my best friend's wedding, we're a bit over loaded this year.
We're planning on moving next year, maybe locally but maybe over to the other side of the state, so my goal for the marathon is the following year, when I turn 35. I want to do something cool in that year and in my 40th year as well.
I would personally love to do the Avon 3-day walk for cancer. I am however, training for a 5k in August, locally. I dno't think I have any want nor need to desire to run anything beyond that. I hate running as it is, and my first 5k 4 years ago, was quite far enough. lol.
Thanks for the link. At least a few are close to me. Although I doubt I'd travel to run. lol. tha'ts just sick. lol
ETA: I meant to say, www.active.com is a GREAT site to look for a 5k or something to train for. You can search by date and by your zip code.
This is the one I'm doing: http://surfcityusa.com/show/xmlsite/xml-standard.xml/xsl-event.xsl/start_id-jhbgkepkinloiiebjoglpobanjgjdahfnppanedh/start-20060419/cat-chhoehdjepelpajbeejbnincojeofcomgdoalihi/
Active.com also has a really good newsletter too - I get those emails and I've learned a lot from them.
5k races are fun :).
