Cheers Everyone

I am an american living in the UK and am doing my best to watch what I eat and exercise daily; I need to loose another 2 stone or 24 pds.. I have already lost 9pds in the past month and am gaging to get more of this weight off. So just wanted to come here and get more motivation from others who like me are facing the reality that loosing weight after 30 is a lot harder than it was when I was in my 20's.

Hope you are doing well and thanks for letting me soak up all this positive energy.

A stone is about 14 pds, but yes I think counting in stones makes it all sound less intimidating. Thanks for the welcome. :)

Congratulations on losing nine pounds already. This is a great board. It's a place where one can come and post successes and complain about the set backs. It's also a place where one can learn a lot and get some great ideas, and it's just fun.

Hope you contiinue to hang out with us.

Welcome!

How long have you lived over there? I can almost hear your accent, or at least little bits of English twang coming over the lines, lol! (I'm originally from Ireland).

Congrats on your 9lb loss, that's wonderful. You seem to be right on target, and you will find the women here very supportive and full of advice. And as someone else said 'fun'.

(I beleive gagging is in the sense of 'dying to' LOL)

Thanks for the warm welcome! I have been here for about 2 1/2 years and yes I have picked up some english slang and a tiny bit of an accent. I am told that I can pass for english by europeans or canadian by the english (although there are a few who think I am english, depending on if I have had any wine or not.)Gagging means to really want something. for instance you can be gagging for a car or even a frozen yogurt (which they do not have over here.)
