QOTW: What Month/When do you Start?

Okay ladies, so I was thinking that I'm actually happy that the first day of the month falls on a Monday this month - I just feel more motivated to start fresh.

I really have no particular month or specific time I jump on the wagon. I'm sure AF does dictate some of my poor eating habits so I'm sure I get a fresh start after that time of month.

I think I agree with Gretchen on this one, there is no particular month in which I put more focus on 'getting fit'. If there is something specific coming up; a wedding, vacation, etc...I find it easier to direct my attention to a goal.

Again, I think AF affects me each month, plus if I hit any stress bombs along the way ;-)

What month are you most likely to start a new diet/fitness plan? I don't know that there's any specific month that I would be more likely to start something new. I guess if I find that I need to add or change something, I would do it anytime the need arises. I do tend to, as does everyone it seems, focus ore on specific goals when there's an event coming up. And I am out working on running more when the weather is good, especially if there's a race coming up.

When during the month are you most likely to jump on the fitness wagon? The nearer an event comes, like now. Actually, if I have messed up, usually with my diet, I do look at a new month as a new beginning time.

For me the motivation comes from events mostly. For example....MIL came and visited around christmas time 2004 (when I was 154). She made all sorts of comments on weight and what we were eating. So the next time we would be seeing her was that following spring. So I wanted to lose weight before I saw her again. (Now, I know that sort of motivation is not the noblest, but I'm just being honest, lol). Then the next major thing was summer vacation to the beach...I wanted to be ready for that. Now this time I'm motivated so that I can fit into my spring clothes. But when I was only halfway motivated over the past couple of years, I would say that the start of a new week or a new month would be my excuse for putting it off ("I'll eat this way today because I'll start eating better Monday") :o)

What month are you most likely to start a new diet/fitness plan? I am a New Year's Resolution kinda girl. I also get inspired by all the cute shorts and tank tops they bring out around this time of year.

When during the month are you most likely to jump on the fitness wagon? There isn't really a specific time for me, in the pastit would be after an unusually bad food choice day. But I've been doing really well the past month and haven't fallen completely off the wagon(slipped a few times though!!)

What month are you most likely to start a new diet/fitness plan? January is usually when I start a new diet.

When during the month are you most likely to jump on the fitness wagon? The first of the month or on a Monday.

Gretchan is right on for me too. I usally spend 3 weeks working out and eating healthy, and losing weight. In 1 week I ruin all that progress and most months get right back on track, but sometimes I lapse and it takes me
