Any plans for the weekend?

Probably grocery shopping tonight, nieces communion tomorrow, just hanging ut on Sunday.

Any exercise time? Any fun stuff ahead?

I'm still feeling kinda sick so I won't do too much. I'd like to get in a walk or bike ride but I can't breathe through my nose & breathing through my mouth causes a coughing fit so I'm thinking I'll just be doing some stretching. :(

What does the weather look like?

Low to mid 60's & sun.

Rainey - Have a great time with the b-day this weekend!!

Ann - Hope that you can take this weekend and kick whatever's ailing you!

Nancy - Yards ARE a lot of work - I just had a tiny border, and last year I put down landscaping material and covered it with wood chips to save the weeding!

I am band new to this site. I am trying to lose about 20 pounds. It is supposed to be beautiful here all weekend. I am in MD and every year they shut down the Bay Bridge for a day in one direction and you can walk over it. It is a four mile bridge. My 4 year old and I are going to do it! Hubby has to work it!

The weekend's almost over (it's 4 p.m. when I'm typing this), but I still want to take part...

Any plans for the weekend?
Friday & Sunday: cleaning my flat etc, whatever I feel like doing. And some work as well, since it's test time again, and someone = the teacher has to correct them. Ahh. Saturday: voluntary work on my golf club and a night out.

Any exercise time? Any fun stuff ahead?
I think both involve golf:
1) The voluntary work on the club turned out hard labour with lumber - they had cut trees around the golf course and it had to be cleared before the season starts. The men I worked with kindly called the wood "sticks", but the tree trunks were as thick as my legs. (Does that mean my legs are like sticks? That'd be nice!)
2) After the "woodwork" I decided to run a bit, since there's a great path that goes round the golf course, and there's no more snow in the woods. The terrain is great, the area is somewhat hilly, and the path is soft enough so that my knees won't hurt even if I run more than 5km. And I love running there! The running has become a tradition, because my family lived in the area when I was a kid (it was mostly woods back then), and when I had moved out, I ran there when I came to visit my parents. And nowadays I add running to my golf training, it's a good addition to a visit to the driving range.
3) A visit to a new club was planned, but we cancelled it, due to 4) below...
4) Today, I officially started the golf season by playing 18 holes, starting at 7.40 a.m. What fun! And the idea of the 850 calories burnt when playing makes me smile. So I'm not sad at all when we cancelled the clubbing - it would have been a pain to try to play golf when one's slightly hung over...

What does the weather look like?
Another reason to smile: it's been sunny the whole weekend, and temperature's 20C or more. Can't complain. And it will be cooler next week, so I have to enjoy this when I have the chance.

Happy Sunday to everyone!

Ladies~

Melissa: hope you and the horse managed the *new* bathing routine without too much hassle!! And that you had some time to relax over the weekend too, looked like you had a busy one planned!

Joanne: how was the pedicure party? (What color did you choose?) Hope you all managed to enjoy some nice weather on your bike ride ;-)

Gretchen: so, what movies did you get to see? (I got Dick & Jane last night, pretty good. Flightplan was better!) Looking at your journal, it looks like your weekend is going well!

Miranda- did you and the girls have fun out last night? What kind of music do these places play? It seems like for----ever since I was in a *real* nightclub!!

Rainey: how did you dd do in the dance tryouts?? Sounds like a pretty "sweet" weekend planned! Congratulations on getting down to your low weight!

Ann: hope you're feeling better! I hate when colds like that just drag on. You're better off recovering before hitting the exercise wagon too hard! (I love your Friday morning routine at work, sounds like a great way for you all to finish off the week!)

Nancy: how did the gardening work out? Hope you got it all done, just keep the thought of how much all that work will pay off :-)

Kim: hope you're enjoying a plan-free weekend!

Pipsa: get a good night of sleep tonight dear, work week starts tomorrow. Hope you had a fun night last night, even if you are paying for it today ;-)

Thanks for the excouragement. Just got back. Between the bridge and the walk to and from the buses I think it ended up being about 7 miles!
