Help, Please!!!

Hi all,

My name is Kelly and I am new to this board. I had my gallbladder removed last week and was doing really well on my diet and excercise program and now I feel like I am off the path a bit with not being able to exercise since the surgery. I will be 37 in June, and was wondering what diets everyone is on and what diet will work the best for a woman my age. I am 5'2" and weigh 144lbs. I am looking to lose at least another 20.

I have tried almost all diets, and have had the most success with Weight Watchers, but I hate to have to count everything. I also tried the GI Diet in the past, with some success, but my problem is I get bored very easily. I have made a great stride, tho, with not beating myself up if I have a "cheat" day. Actually, I now have 1 cheat day per week and in the past I would punish myself by not eating at all the next day. Thank goodness I realized how crazy that was.

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. It's great to know there is a place I can come to learn new and different things. Not just on this board, but on all the boards at iVillage. This is a great site. Thank you.

Kelly

Welcome to the 30's board, and iVillage! Yes, there are some great places to visit around here. Glad you found us. For the most part we're all doing our own thing, a few have done specific diets, but mostly we're about portion control......, like I said for the most part ;-)

Another key component to weight loss/control is WATER! Drink up :-)

There are some great journals in our journal section and you can see what everyone is up to, and how supportive the ladies around here are!

Looking forward to seeing you here~

Hi Kelly, nice to meet you. Wish I had some specific advice to offer but I'm kind of just wandering around myself trying to figure out what works for me. Sounds like
