Hi ladies! I'm new here, and I can tell this is a very supportive group. I'm 32, and finding it harder and harder to loose weight. I lost most of my baby weight while I was breastfeeding, but gained about 25 in the last couple of years. In the past I've lost weight counting calories, but that isn't working right now and I'm guessing it's because I have no idea how many calories I burn in a day these days. My metabolism has probably changed so much. Anyway, I'm going to try the bodybugg, and I was wondering if any of you had tried it yet? It's worn all day, and it is supposed to be 92% accurate in measuring calories burned. I'm excited to get started. I have to get it through a local gym, and it comes with a web program and weekly meetings with a trainer. I'm hoping this will be the kick in the butt (not to mention the right info) to get me on the right track.

Good luck to you all!

I'm excited about joining this board! Ivillage is such a great place for women to support each other.

I believe it'll be a combination: go on the web daily to upload info and put in what I eat, and once a week I'll meet with a trainer at the gym. I'm taking tennis lessons and thinking of joining a karate class. I hate exercise that just for the sake of exercise, but joining groups, learning something, having fun...that keeps me motivated.

There are a few women here who do various martial arts so you can get loads of info from them I'm sure!

Cool, I'd love to get karate e-buddies! I just went to one karate class so far, but I like it! It's hard now because every little move is completely new to me, but I'm sure after more classes I feel more comfortable. I've been playing tennis for about a year now, and I absolutely love it! Unfortuantely, I only play once a week most of the time (my class) because I don't have people at my level to practice with (aside from a friend who has back trouble and can't play as much as she'd like).

I'm getting my bodybug today! I'm going to start the journal tomorrow and keep you all posted :-)
