need some encouragement....

Hey there,
I am new to this particular board. Anyway, 11 months ago I had an emergency csection
and it got infected so basically I did absolutely no excercise (including walking) for about 3 months.
Now, I have 30 pounds to lose. I've been working out doing cardio 3x per week and
am into my 4th week....I don't see any results yet. .....my question is, how long does it take to see any sort of results?
....I have been a member of a gym for 15 years now and have gone in and out of serious working out all those years, but it's been so long that I can't remember how long it takes to see results......
any thoughts or advice for me?
Thanks.

I wish I could be of more help. Not sure when you would start seeing results. However, I understand how frustrating it is. There are days I just wonder why I bother. lol
However, keep going be as consistent as you can maybe even change things up a little. Exercise in a different time of day, do some weight training instead of cardio, walk more if it's possible for example if you can walk to pick up a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk. Maybe eliminate one thing from your diet that could be causing some problems that's high in fat or the bad carbs.
Nice to meet you and hope to see you around.
Welcome to the board!!!
Having children, whether it is by C-section or vaginal birth can result in serious changes on our bodies - so don't be too hard on yourself!!
Now if you are simply doing cardio - you will burn calories, but if you want to tone and tighten you will need to do some exercises such as weights, resistance training, pilates, yoga to actually tone the muscles you have.
Hi there, and welcome to the 30's board! As the others have pointed out *8 kids* You must be burning a lot of calories just by taking care of the family ;-)
Great job on getting back onto the fitness wagon and keeping it up for the past 4 weeks, I'm sure there are results on the horizon for you! The amount of time it takes for each person to see results really varies; metabolism, food intake, water intake, time spent working out, etc....
Keep it up, don't give up!
