Hi! I'm Margaret, biological mom to 8 fantastic children. I am very fussy about my weight. Ever since my 38th birthday, suddenly I cannot lose weight anymore! I am about 10 pounds above where I would like to be, though the charts tell me I am fine. I have this little tire that is driving me NUTS! I work out by walking many miles a week over hills, hills, hills, with my 2-year-old in the stroller. I also do a work-out at home. I am not a big snacker or terrible eater. I have always taken good care of myself. Lately, no matter what I do, the weight will not come off. I have just got to do this for myself.
I have spent many hours the past couple of days researching low-fat eating. I am not picky about what I eat. I just want people to tell me WHAT to eat. I grew up vegetarian and on a low-fat, no-sugar diet, but that is not how I have raised my own family. I am happy eating anything, pretty much. I like tofu and multi-grains just fine. But I do not know what to make AT ALL!
I guess that's enough about me. Thank you for any guidance or help you may offer.
Margaret

As always feel like I'm no help what so ever. lol However, 8 KIDS!!!! Wow!!! I can't manage 4. I also have a 2 year old actually almost 3.
I'm sure someone here has some good food advice for you. It's nice meeting you and look forward to getting to know you more.
Welcome to the board Margaret!!
Welcome to the board Margaret!
Things slow down in our 30's!! Sad, but true ;-)
You are doing great getting out for all that walking, up hills, with a stroller!!! The ladies before me have given you some 'food for thought', so I just wanted to add a welcome here really.
As Gretchen said, be consistent, and don't give up. You are sure to see results being so disciplined!
