Favorite exercises?

I'm new to the board, and have been reading that many of you are experiencing the same thing I am. Hitting the plateau. Seems I haven't lost weight for months, but I actually went down a size in pants, so maybe my weight is just 'shifting'? If only it would fall off my butt and end up on my chest... ;-) Just wondered if anyone has favorite exercises that they like or that have given them good results? I currently alternate days between weights and cardio (unless I have extra time, and then I try to get in some extra cardio.) My gym currently got a 'treadclimber' and I LOVE it. It burns about the same calories as running, but you don't get that 'my lungs are going to explode' feeling. Interested to know what you have found that you really like to do that is effective.

Welcome to the board!!!

Lately I've been finding that roller blading is doing the trick - my clothes are feeling a little looser around the hips - which is fabulous since I'm VERY pear shaped!!! LOL

I really should get back into that again. I used to blade every evening, and found my clothes starting to get loose REALLY fast. My roller blades wore out, and I got new ones, but they ended up giving me blisters, so I ended up just giving up on it. I might have to invest and try it again, however. It really did give me good results. Thanks for bringing it up!

Hi Tonya, and wlcome to the 30's board :-)

For me my exercise choice of exercise is walking, I also enjoy swimming but can't seem to swim for all that long in one stretch, so do more walking ;-)

I've also found Leslie Sansone walking tapes great. One particular one is the "walk away the pounds for abs"; it comes with a stretchy belt you wear around your waist and you do 'arm' exercises throughout the walk. It supposed to help you work your stomach at the same time. I found it really helped- mosly my upper arms though. Check it out here:
