Weekend was good! Watched a couple movies and read a book (of course, the general laundry and grocery shopping as well). The kids played outside ALL weekend - they caught turtles and thought that was awesome. I let them watch them for a while, and then told them the turtles were starting to look sad and needed to go home, so they let them go. That activity took up most of one whole day, however! :-)

This week is a little more stressful. I'm playing 'single Mom' (don't know how any of you single Mom's do it full time!) DH is going out of town on a golf trip with some friends, and he's usually the one to drop kids to activites after work, and I usually pick them up. (He gets out of work around 4:30, and kids activities start at 6pm. I get out of work around 5:30, so getting kids picked up, fed, and off to activities by 6pm is a challenge for me!) I'll have to try to sneak out early every day so I can get it accomplished. Drop off one DD at activities, then take other DD with me to the gym, then back to pick up first DD after activity. Friday we leave for my hometown for my 20th reunion (meeting DH there Friday night). Hopefully my boss won't look for me after about 4:45 every day, cuz I'll be gone! :-) I need a little blow up doll to sit in my chair to make it look like I'm still around.

Hey Tonya, I'm sprinkling some ::magic dust::: around so you can manage to pull the 'leave work early, get the kids to activities, etc....' week off without too many hitches!! You'll be ready to kick up your heels at the reunion I'm sure!

Looks like Crystal is up and ready to tackle the week ahead. Are you?

***I'm starting my second week on medifast, I don't know if I told you guys but I took the plunge and I bought a 4 week program of it. I thought I'd try it. I bought the diabetic version because of me being insulin resistant due to the PCOS. One week down and I'm down 6 lbs. I am not doing bad on it. I sent back some of the food due to I didn't like some of the taste, the good news is you can send the food you don't like back for a refund even if you've eaten some of it no questions asked which is GREAT!!!! and I just ordered replacement food that I know I like. The great part is I do NOT feel hungry at ALL which is HUGE! So I'm feeling very confident.

How was your weekend?

***My weekend wasn't too hot, it rained all weekend and I had a raging yeast infection and my stupid doctor ill advised me to buy the one day version of the yeast infection medicine, BIG MISTAKE!!!! does NOT work, oh my god it was so bad, I wasted 18 dollars for nothing, I had to go out yesterday and spend another 12 bucks and buy another set and I bought the 3 day. Good lord I thought I'd die. Why is it that women get these, it's like the worst punishment ever.

What's going on this week?

***This week is awful, seriously the slowest week at work because I have a 4 day weekend coming up of course, it's going to be fun, my dads uncle is celebrating his 50th wedding anniversary so they are having a big 50's party we are all dressing up in 50's attire it's going to be a blast, I'll take pictures and post em'

Is Medifast the company that sends you all the meals etc....for the duration? Sounds like it's working for you. I'm so happy, you sound in good spirits. Congratulations on your loss so far!! Your weekend ahead sounds like a blast, you'll definitely have to post some of the pictures from it :-)

Basically you purchase meals from them yes. You eat 5 times a day their meals and 1 meal on your own, it's called the 5 and 1 plan. Their meals consist of oatmeal, shakes, bars, soups, puddings, chili. So you eat 5 times a day, every 2-3 hours. So for breakfast I'll have oatmeal, a few hours later I'll have a bar, then for lunch soup, then a few hours later a shake, then for dinner chicken and a salad then a few hours later pudding. That's a day. I am never hungry because you seem to always be eating. The good news is that they are really good about takign things back like I didn't like the chili or the peanut butter bars so they will take them back and give me a refund even if you opened the box which is great! I figured I would give it a shot for a month and if I didn't lose any weight it was worth a shot right what did I have to lose I've tried every other friggin diet. LOL

It's great that they will refund you....would they also send you something to replace it if you wanted them to? And if you don't mind me asking, how much was the month worth of food?

Great job on the 6 lbs.!

That one day treatment makes the infection worse doesn't it? Least that was my experience.

Well I can buy different food, they don't do replacements, they just refund and I can buy replacement food if I want.

A months worth of diabetic food cost me 291 (free shipping and then I got a weeks worht of food free so I actually got 5 weeks of food. But that's because I picked my own, if you buy the variety packs they are cheaper. At first I thought it was a lot but then when I worked out how much I usually spend on food (80 dollars) I realized it really wasn't that much. Also they do bill me. So I didn't even have to cough it up at first.
