Hypnosis (my consultation)

Well ladies, I went to my consultation at the hypnosis center. I will say, this is something I'd really like to do. What he said, makes sense to me, especially because it IS my will power that helps me to lose weight, but also, it's what keeps me from doing it. I know a lot of my own issues are deep seeded, and hey, if he can fix my subconscious, great!

He did a test of suggestion to see how well I respond. He siad he was surprised because he thought for sure, I'd be very analytical, but I wasn't. lol. Obviously, he knows nothing about me. He figured I was very analytical, cuz I was analyzing my food bit, however, as much as I AM analytical, I'm not. lol. It was funny. He was surprised.

Anyhow, he said I am a good candidate for hypnosis and suggested that a few other women he spoke about that was at the same level of accepting suggestions as me, completed the program in a short time, because they accpeted, well, suggestions faster. lol. He said those that are very analytical, are harder because you have to train them to, well, basically imagine things.

Overall, seriously, I'd like to do this. I'm thinking, maybe I'll try a shorter program. He suggested 16 weeks for me to lose about 30 lbs, but he said I could prolly do a shorter program, 8-13 weeks and just keep up with the tapes and stuff, to reinforce my subconsious after my program is done.

Now for the question I've been wondering and you prolly have too. How much. I will say, it was a TON more than I expected. The price for 16 week, about $2000. OUCH!!! I did tell him that money was the deciding factor if I sign up now, however, this is something I'd like to do, I just may need to save up for it, or do a shorter program.

He talked about plateau's, and why I stay within a specific weight zone, but can't seem to go any lower, and freak out when it's high. I guess I am yo-yo'ing, but never thought about it, cuz it's usually only 10 - 15lbs. When I think yo-yo, I think 20+ difference. weird huh?

So, that was my experience. Now, to save up $1500-$2000 for this thing.

Would YOU do it?

That is so true about clicking. My first optometrist, REFUSED to give me the right Rx for my contacts because she felt I was "too young" to be able to put the contacts in the correct eyes. So instead of the correct Rx, she'd give me one wrong, so they'd be the same (ie. L -1.00, R -1.25, but she'd give me both -1.00 or something to keep them the same). So lame. I was 17 at the time. You'd THINK I was old enough to do it correctly, no?

She also refused to refer an opthamologist when my vision went from 20/20 to 20/400 in

Well, I will admit, I love my drugs. lol. However, for weight loss, I want something more "permanent" and a pill wont' do it. I know it has to be a total mental thing.

I really wanna try this. Wish I could just drip $2k like nothing. lol. I'd be there alr4ady and telling you guys how it is. lol

That would be good if you could do that and have insurance pay for it. My insurance paid for the ophthalmologist I saw yesterday, but they won't pay for the optometrist I need to see next week for the contacts, even though I'm under care of the ophthalmologist, but he doesn't prescribe contacts. I'm going to call the insurance company; as DH said, it probably won't change things, but that is so ignorant, paying for the specialist but not for the doctor in his office that I have to see to get contacts, OMG.

Not to make this about insurance, but if you could find someone you like and have insurance help out, how cool would that be. You might even be able to start sessions
