So, what do you think your mental barriers are to success? What do you find gets you off track, or sabotages your efforts?
I think I do pretty well during the week when I'm busy with work, kids activities, etc. I just schedule working out right into my day, and I seem to stay on track. Weekends are a big issue for me! We love to go out with friends, or entertain at home, and that always comes with food that is really tasty, but not so healthy, as well as drinks that seem to really add up the calories! I think I just lack willpower to not 'partake' like everyone else is. Still feeling the peer pressure 20 years later... ;-)
I am really really good of setting myself into a schedule. When I am on schedule I am ON! and I go like a rocket and I do not veer, but if something sets me off, a vacation, a death in the family, anything that veers me off my schedule, It takes me MONTHS to get back on, I am AWFUL about getting back on, you know, any NORMAL person would just get back on schedule the day after the veer but not me, I don't get back on for months and months. I am AWFUL.
And to be honest I have no idea WHY I self sabotage this way and I do not know why I would want to stay fat.
I won't blame it all on the marriage, but I think that has a lot to do with it too. It has totally and 100% blown my typical schedule. Do you find that same thing with you?
