What do you do when you want to eat and you really shouldn't, your really not hungry?

Do you have a particular distraction and what is it?

Well if I did I probably would not be here. :)
Try going for a walk. I have done this and it works. When you get back from the walk you are not hungry any more. The problem is actually making yourself go for the walk can be dificult some times. :)

I might try a yoga DVD I have. I really love it but stopped for some reason. Probably got same old same old but should be a nice compliment to the SI6 and a good distraction.

Drinking water would be the best thing to do... Gives you the feeling that you have eaten something and fills your tummy... Although I am not very good about doing this..

I like to chew sugarless gum.

I do drink a good amount of water during the week but not so much on the weekend and that's probably my worst time for snacking when I shouldn't.

I'm gonna get some gum though that just might take care of some sweet cravings as well.

I try to drink Crystal Light. It helps with the 'sweet' craving, and also fills me up (and is different than just plain water, which I have a hard time drinking). Also, my worst 'snacking time' is in the afternoon. I bring an apple with me to work every day, and munch on that in the afternoon. It gives me a little energy boost, allows me to 'feed' my snack craving, and is a serving of fruit that I desperately need more of!

Hey Tonya, I agree about the Crystal Light, it has just enough sweet to make me forget I was craving food.

Diet Pepsi works for me, although I'm trying to give it up. I think the carbonation makes me feel full, but I don't think it's a good thing, LOL. Part of the reason it's so hard to give up is that I use it as a food substitute when I want to eat and I'm not hungry.
