How important is breakfast to you?

  • Very! I know it's the most important meal of the day
  • Somewhat- I know it starts my day off right
  • Not very- if I have time, I eat something
  • Not important- I'll eat later
  • Breakfast- what's that?

Now although I voted for 'somewhat' I do have to admit that I'm not very good at eating breakfast, well meaning before I go to work. Sometimes I have something when I get into school, but sometimes I don't.

However I do know that breakfast is an important meal of the day. I just need to keep reminding myself! LOL

I have to have something for breakfast. I do find I like to eat it later in the morning, usually at work around 8:00. This way my morning snack can come closer to lunch and I'm less likely to eat as big of a snack.

I was wondering if Slim Fast met the requirements for a good breakfast. They are very well balanced as far as nutrients are concerned and it's why I like them get's my protein #s up.

You know what I think it is about breakfast and myself is that I don't think I need any unless I'm feeling the need for it!! When I do feel the need it's usually when I'm famished, in that case I don't think that a slimfast shake would do it for me. But if you feel satisfied enough then I guess it should be enough, and they do have sufficient protein in them, don't they?

I have to admit I've always been terrible about eating breakfast. My stomach just doesn't want food so early in the morning. It's like I have to be up and moving for a while before I'm hungry. So all I have for breakfast is coffee. But I will have a protein bar or something a couple hours later, so it's not like I don't eat anything at all until lunch.

I voted for the second choice. I do eat breakfast every day. I just don't get enough calories according to what I have read and to an informal nutrition analysis of my eating. I am working on that by adding some milk to my banana and Pria bar or SlimFast though. Seems I would rather drink my breakfast. Maybe I should make the lf yogurt, 1% milk, banana (or whatever fruit is in the house) smoothie for breakfast.

I don't get up early enough to do that though. I would eat oatmeal too if I got up earlier. I know it only takes a couple minutes to do, but, especially on the days I go for a morning run, I am usually cutting it down to the last minute to get out of the house on time so DH isn't late for his job. That being the case, it's just easier to bring a bar and a banana to work in my backpack.
