Well I'm down 24lbs. as of today! YAY!! I was hoping to lose 30lbs. by the time I left for my Hawaii trip, but I am extremely happy with this. I still have over a week to go so maybe I can lose another couple lbs. I can't believe I am finally doing it. I was stuck on 21lbs. forever and by now I would have thrown in the towel, but I have no desire or plans to do so. This feels so awesome. I feel that I have finally beaten this demon. GO ME!!! LOL. Take care everyone, hope everyone is reaching their goals too. Keep up the good work and don't give up! It will happen for you.

CONGRATULATIONS BARB!
That's super news, and how exciting to be off on your trip in a week, aren't you going on a cruise too? Did you go and do the BIG shopping spree yet? I'm sure your clothes are just falling off you-- 24lbs is a couple of sizes!!
Once again, well done :-)

CONGRATULATIONS!!
Barb, that is fantastic news!
Yes I did shop. I actually bought most things while I was losing hoping to fit into them. LOL. Talk about taking chances! Everything fits fine, I actually had to take something back last week that was too big! I still have a few things to buy then I will be ready. Yes this trip is my cruise. We fly to Honolulu then get a cruise from there 2 days later. Take care.

Thank you! I do feel great, especially knowing that I am going to finish this fight and be healthy. I think the first thing that motivated me was the cruise, but as I got going more important things became my motivation. My health, my family, how I felt about myself etc.. I just thought it was time to finally do something and stop complaining. I looked in the mirror and I was just disgusted with myself. Though my looks aren't my reason for losing, (well, maybe a little bit, LOL) it still feels lousy when you look in the mirror and hate what you see, knowing that you can look soooo much better. That just spirals into other unhealthy things and I knew that I had to do something for good this time. Once I made all of the connections, it has been a breeze from then on.
Barb
That was good thinking, to buy stuff mid-way. That way at least it wasn't a whole big chunk of $$ at once, and way to go on having to bring something back!!

I am glad I can help! I have been helped by so many other people's stories, good and bad, that I wanted to share mine. good luck and keep fighting!
Barb
Thank you! It has taken me about 3 1/2 months I would say. I didn't get really serious about it until about 2 1/2 months ago though, and that is when I really started to lose. I've probably lost 18 - 20lbs. in that time frame. That is just an estimate though, I really don't think of how long it is taking me, that just discourages me if things don't go my way, LOL. I just know that I am losing and plan to keep losing until I feel I am where I want to be. Take care and good luck!!

CONGRATULATIONS
