Not sure what my question is exactly but just looking for some feedback I guess.

As some of you know I've been doing the Slim in 6 program.

1. When I do the floor workout that requires me to be on my knees and elbows my hands go numb. I'm guessing it's a positioning problem??? I've tried a couple of different adjustments but no luck. This isn't horrible or anything but kind of aggravating in a situation I already find aggravating. lol

2. This week I started phase 3 and it's much more intense on the cardio. Well the last two day I feel like my heart has been pounding. Not faster, my bpm, is relatively the same as previous. So I guess it just seems like it is harder. No what I mean??? I'm also considering the fact that caffeine my be playing a roll here but don't think I'm drinking more than normal but I am going to cut back this next week. Could this just be my cardiovascular system adjusting to the harder workout???

Have you tried to go up on all 4's Gretchen? Rather than going on your elbows, I can't go down on my elbows it hurts my back so I go on my hands instead.

How much caffeine do you consume??? Is it a lot? Phase 3 is very intense, have you tried to ease into it a little rather than going full throttle? For example, maybe doing the lower intensity, such as jogging in place instead of doing the jumping jacks or marching or something just until you get the hang of it a bit more.

I'd hate for you to give it up. You are doing so well. It really could be that your body is saying WHAT THE F IS SHE DOING??? EAT A CAKE WOMAN AND SIT DOWN!!!!!

Smile,

Deirdre

Hey Gretchen for the elbows thing, have you tried folding up a blanket or something to cushion them?

And as for the heart rate, I would agree with Dee, take it easy and ease your way up there to see if that makes a difference.

As for your arms falling asleep, I have this same thing happen when I stretch my feet fall asleep.
