Alright ladies, related to our Question of the Week, I'd like you to post some favorite lunch time tips - whether it be a particular meal, or item like an actual lunch kit, an exercise that you fit in over the lunch hour, or any other tip that helps keep things healthy over the lunch hour!

I found this fantastic lunch box at Amazon.com, I had seen something similar on a food network show, and have been keeping my eye out ever since!

Mine isn't a very healthy one but....

If you find yourself at the drive through either skip the fires or have a kids meal instead of a value meal.

Get milk or water instead of a soda.

Always go with the smaller size!

Well sometimes I go get a package of california rolls from the local grocery store, I find them to be fairly healthy and they are only 30 calories per "roll".

But, I usually pack carrots, raw almonds, cheese sticks in my lunch bag to snack on through out the day to keep my hunger satisfied with protein. If I eat too many carbs then I am ravenous, also I am so lazy, the cut up apple slices or dried cherries are phenomenal. Yeah I could just buy an apple, but didn't you read the line above I'm lazy. lol

I also get too intimidated by a HUGE bottle of water sitting on my desk. So I buy a 24 oz poland springs bottle and I refill it 4 times through out the day (96 oz). For some reason it's small enough that it doesn't intimidate me and I tend to drink it faster, but if there is a HUGE bottle of water I won't drink it and I want to make sure to get my water in for the day.

Those are my tips.

Smile,

Deirdre

-great idea for a thread Miranda, since I'm just getting onto the work wagon after a 9week break it's like learning to ride a two-wheeler all over again. I know I'll get back into it, but right now I'm a little all over the place, lol!!

I do that too, it really doesn't seem as overwhelming when you break it down into smaller bottles!

Another tip would be to make a casserole, or one-dish-meal over the weekend and pack it into containers for lunches the following week.
