So ladies I'm curious, I know quite a few of you have tried different videos and workouts, and some of you are doing the Slim in 6.

Pilates Beginner Mat Workout (GAIAM)

$15 Canadian

20-30 Minutes

Easy

4/5

A good quick workout that works your abs and legs (not a lot of focus on arms).

Carmen Electra's Fit to Strip

$15 USD

An hour I believe (but you can do sections*)

Difficulty Rating: Easy/Intermediate

Overall Rating: 4

The one thing I liked about this, was well, watching Carmen not do things perfectly. :) Okay, that's mean, but seriously, she'd screw up a bit, she'd be sweating too, the guy who did the leading, would fix her form. I mean, yes, she's got a hot bod, but no, she's not perfect either. yay!

It's led by a man, but Carmen adds in her own tips and thoughts. It's not your typical moves (like SI6, reminded me a lot of Tae-bo type moves). And boy, you don't think those moves will make any difference, until you feel it the next day.

It was fun. BTW, this dvd (I believe there's two), doesn't teach actual stripping, this is to get your body into form FOR stripping. lol. There is a dvd that Carmen teaches on how to strip. :) I didn't buy it, only rented from Netflix, but it was a lot of fun, hard work, and a good change up from SI6. :)

*it's broken up into sections, so you can choose what section you want to do (upper body, mid, tone, floorwork, etc)

Name of Video: Slim In 6

Price (or close to): $72 (three payments, might be cheaper buying it all at once)

Length: 3 workouts approx. 30 min., 45 min., 60 min. 2 additional ab/stretch workouts not sure of the length.

Difficulty Rating: Easy/Intermediate/Advanced: It's a hard workout but as far as what's required of you I would consider it easy once you know the routine but still hard workout.

Overall Rating: Out of 5: 5/5

Any other comments: I think this actually pretty good. She can be annoying but not very I think she went out of her way to try to avoid that. I think you may need to readjust the program a little to suit your needs. Maybe do phase 2 a little longer than they suggest. Maybe go between the two final phases the first week you do the final phase to ease into a little more.

I like the three different workouts and the "plan". There is a beginning and an end.

I will use these again probably more just as variety in my work out but might plan to work the whole program again as well.

Slim in 6

$$ I don't recall, however, I'm sure someone can let me know

20-60 minutes

Difficulty Rating: Easy to Advanced

Overall Rating: 5

The music is kinda bland, but I don't seem to mind the "host". She isn't so sickenly happy about everything. lol. Great set of dvd's. This can kick your butt, but in a good way. :) Definiltey one of my fav's (esp because the moves are simple and not overly complicated...I have two left feet)

Name of Video: A.M. & P.M. Yoga for Beginners (Rodney Yee and Patricia Walden )

Price: $15

Length: 2 workouts between 20 and 30 minutes.

Difficulty Rating: Easy

Overall Rating: 4/5

Any other comments: I actually broke my first copy of this and it had a "stress relief" workout as well and I loved it. However, couldn't find a copy of that particular one and now just have the two workouts and that's the only reason I gave it a 4/5 stars. Niether Yee or Walden are annoying and quite relaxing. If you do these on a regular basis you will feel more flexible and again I like the two different work out options but miss the third.

Name of Video: Power Yoga: Strength & Flexibility (Rodney Yee)

Price: $13

Length

Difficulty Rating: Intermediate/Easy

Overall Rating: 4/5

Any other comments: There are 2 workouts on this one for strength and one for flexibility. My main complaint with these is the routines are kind of repetitive. They are more difficult poses but mostly a beginner could handle this I think. This is tougher than the A.M./P.M. one but doable and just modify the harder stuff if needed.

Name of Video: Crunches 'Yoga by Candlelight'

Price (or close to): about $20

Length: 50mins, though by the time you end up relaxing at the end it's close to that 1hr mark

Difficulty Rating: Easy/Intermediate/Advanced: Easy -> Intermediate

Overall Rating: 5/5 (no reason I can think of to deduct any points)

Any other comments: Presenter explains everything well, and reminds you to close your eyes, that there's nothing to see on the TV, lol! A great unwinding Yoga workout!
