Hey Rainey, I couldn't really find anything that concrete about them, what I did figure out is that they are Vitamin B shots, and that they help boost your metabolism, not necessarily help you lose weight.

Perhaps ask the doctor for more info.

In the meantime here's a thread

Hey Rainey, like IG, I didn't find a lot of info, but did find a number of sites that were selling a 'lipo burn' product.

I had read some of these thread and for what I can see they spped up your metabolism and you have to eat right and exercise which I am doing, I justthink I might have a metabolism probem as as of today again, after working out 7 hours this week and eating right I gained a pound from last week. So aybe this can give me the extra push I need. Who knows I'm getting desperate.

You wouldn't find any of these approved by the FDA, as they are supplements and the FDA does not approve supplements.

ok just got back fom the weight loss doctor. B12 shots is supposed to be for energy and help your metabolism. I signed up for the progarm as its ounds ok. Basiacally you eat between 1200-1400 calories a daym with a certain restrictions. Like you can only have 4 services of startch 6 0oz of meat, 3 servings of vegetebelas and 3 servings of vegetable. They encourage fiber i the diet 8 glasses of water and exercise 4 times a week. Basically kind of what I'm doing with some adjustments. They ask that you keepa food diary and based on what I eat, my problem is sugar, my breakfast is 200 calories but its a chocholate chip muffin, which I guess is not good early in the morning as it slows down your metabolism. Other probelm uis the small bag of chips I have at lunch. SO from what I get is I'm eating the right amount of calories but the wrong foods. So I'm giving it a try and well see what happens.

Do you know how much b12 they are giving you and how often do you have to get the shots?

Don't know how much is there, but the shots are optional. What they did give me was pills that is an appetite suppresant and water pill and a multi vitamin. Take one a day of these pills. SO far today was the 1st day as you have to take them in the morning. I ate my breakfast and have not been hungry at all. Have drank a lot of water since the one side effect is a dry mouth so that makes it easy to chug a lot of water. Lets see what happens this week, i was told I would lose between 3-8 pounds, part of it being water weight and then it should taper to 1/2 -3 a week. I'm hoping it breaks my plateau.

Good Luck! A lot of times our bodies do need a suprise in order to get them losing again.

I was just curious about it because it seems like any sensible diet.

It is a weight loss center but I wa able to speak to the doctor. Every week I'm supposed to go get weighed, get my medication for the week and an optional b12 shot if I want. I can also see the doctor ervy week. I have been keeping a food journal, and I'm suprised I thought I was counting my calories right but I think I was under estimating by like 200 calories a day, I was trying to be around 1500 calories a day because I was exercsing so much, but now they have got me on a 1200 diet. I have never had an appetite suppressant and I'm suprised. I really thought I would have trouble staying at 1200 but yesterday I ended at 1050. I'm really execited because I think it seems reasonable to do and it should work, I can also cut back a little on the exercise istead of doing 7 hours a week I can cut back to a moderate 4-5 hours a week, which is good as I was exhausted the last two weeks. I would be happy with a small aount of weight loss evwey week.

Good luck Rainey, sounds like you are happy about the plan, and have a good support system at the center- I'm sure that will be helpful. Be careful not to undereat though....
