Since we're starting the back to school challenge, I thought I'd ask a few questions about what gears us up for challenges!!

Are you a person that works out to the point of being able to say you worked out or do you really have to work up a sweat?

Great way to start the challenge off Miranda!

At this point in time I like to be able to say I worked out.....it's good to feel a good sweat every now and then, but right now I just want to get back into regular routine of actually working out!

Do you like pushing yourself to try new things or do you maintain the status quo?

It depends on what the new thing is......a new dvd/workout, fine- ski jumping or something like that, I'll stick to the status quo thanks, LOL ;-)

Are you an adventurous eater or a plain jane when it comes to diet friendly foods?

A pretty plain jane here!

Are you a person that works out to the point of being able to say you worked out or do you really have to work up a sweat? I like to work up a sweat to make me feel like I've done something.

Do you like pushing yourself to try new things or do you maintain the status quo? I only push myself extra about 50% of the time. The other 50% I work out strong and steady but don't push too hard either.

Are you an adventurous eater or a plain jane when it comes to diet friendly foods? I'd like to be more adventurous but find it not cost effective in the long run with other family members who just aren't at the same level. They are getting there but still have too much potatoes and fried food.

If I don't sweat then I don't feel like I really worked out... This is new for me as I use to never sweat at all no matter how hard I worked out. Now that I am in better shape it doesn't take much at all to get me sweating...

I don't have to work up a sweat...I'm a natural glistener. But it does take me a good 30 minutes to get to the point of feeling like I am accomplishing a "good" workout and feel good about it.

Do you like pushing yourself to try new things or do you maintain the status quo?

I generally maintain, but I'm always thinking of trying new things...I just actually never do them. lol

I am not adventurous at all. But I'm learining. I am starting a new mantra since I've been in Portland "try everything at least once."

...that's interesting:

Now that I am in better shape it doesn't take much at all to get me sweating...

I would have thought it was the other way around!
