Stretch before bed!

After reading this I'm going to start doing a couple of Yoga poses, and stretches before I go to bed....

Stretch Yourself to Sleep

You might associate stretching with waking up, but it can help you nod off, too.

So if you have trouble falling asleep, trade in the tossing and turning for a simple, gentle, daily stretching routine instead. Women who regularly stretch out their knots and kinks fall asleep more easily than nonstretchers do. Try these easy do-at-your-desk yoga stretches.

I find the same thing as Miranda this is great for the back!!! I also will actually do some stuff as I watch TV in bed to get the kinks out.

I often have trouble sleeping so this could really help me. I've never really stretched much so this will be new to me. Unfortunately, alot of the hockey ice times are late evenings so I can't switch my exerice to earlier in the day (plus, most of work until like 6pm so that doesn't seem very feasible). Last night, DF & I both had hockey and got home at 11pm...we were up until 12:30am bc we were too revved up.

Go.

....just a couple of back stretches and arm raises may help Go. I know for me at the end of the day my back and shoulders are really tight so these kind of stretches help me to unwind too.
