Can I get some info???

Hello. My name is Christina. I turned 30 last month and my body has told me it is time to get in shape. I am not overweight, but after having two children...well, my body isnt what it used to be...lol!! I would like to lose about 10 pounds, but more importantly, I want to tone up. Especially my stomach and lower body....which needs the help badly. I dont have much time for exercise but I was thinking of starting a walking routine. I love walking. The weather is getting cooler here in WV, so I figured now would be a good time to start. I also have a treadmill for when it gets too cold outside. I know I have to weight train too. My hubby has a weightbench I use. But, I need some advice on how long I should walk, how much time for weights, etc. I would really love to lose this weight by the end of Oct. I know this CAN be possible. I just need to know HOW to make it possible. Thank you!!

Welcome to the board Christina!
Hi Christina, and welcome aboard!
Miranda has given you some good links to check out, and the link to our welcome wagon for September. We also have a 'Back to Basics' challenge going on, feel free to join us.
One of the key sayings we use around here is baby steps. Start off by trying one thing at a time, ie. drinking more water, cutting down on soda, etc....
Walking is a GREAT way to get in shape- best thing about it, it's free and you can do it almost anywhere. I would say, if you can, walking for up to 30mins is a great start. You don't have to start off with a fast pace either. So long as your heart rate raises above 'normal' you're on the right track.
Good to have you here, this is a great board, everyone here is wonderful :-)
