Did you know that if you do not eat within an hour of waking up in the morning your body will automatically go into starvation mode.

I'm in! It's funny because I used to try to delay eating my first meal of the day for as long as possible. My thinking was, "The later I start eating in the day, the fewer calories I'll eat all day." But according to all the articles (and life experience), putting off breakfast just makes you even hungrier and more likely to overeat the rest of the day. So, lately I've been trying to eat breakfast every day. As a long-time breakfast skipper, I still feel weird about it, like irrationally wondering, "WIll this make me gain weight?" But it's good to remember that eating breakfast will not only make us feel more energetic each morning but also will help with long-term weight loss goals.

I'm in, this is something I've been working on....I tend to have an issue with eating early in the morning, but your comments make sense. Count me in :-)

WOW! I did NOT know this! I usually have coffee around 9:30 and "breakfast" around 11. OOPS!!!! Definitely will work on this! Thanks for posting this!

This makes since to me and since I am type two diabetic I really need to get it together so I am going to try to eat one hour after waking.

Monday; got up at 6.45am, and ate breakfast at 7.05am :-)

I'd be in, however, I always eat within an hour of waking up. :) My schedule allows for it. Or very close to an hour.
