Well, I needed something else to get my out there and running. I have JUST signed up for a local 5k. and when I mean local, I mean the marathoners and half-marathoners will run by my house. lol. So, after I get more efficient on the treadmill, I can get out and start running the area, and the HILLS!!! Augh. At least that way, once I find out the course, I can start practicing it. how fun. I'm sickenly excited.


Ah man. I just found out that the "start line" is about 10 miles from my house. and won't be coming NEAR my house. Dang. I guess I can't practice on the course. Cuz I'd have to drive to it. lol. Oh well, I'm sure if I still run around my house, the hills will be a good workout and good way to build cardio. :)


It's official. My run is on Jan 7. Should I make a ticker? Hmmm...my siggy is getting long. lol

LOL. Yes, it's the hare as in hare and tortoise. I figured....the race, is how fast you can go. but weight loss, slower is better. So, I figured, if I use the turtle, it'll remind me that slow weight loss is okay. and the rabbit will remind me to run, get in shape, up my cardio and running, so I can finish faster than my previous 5k (from 4 years ago. was i hear at the time? lol).


so, i felt it was appropriate. lol. btw. the hare is running thru the city, kinda like i will be. the turtle, well, it was just "uplifting"
