Pat on the Back ...

Hey Ladies, it's not often we are told to give ourselves a pat on the back, but I think often it is well deserved!

What is it that you've done so far this week that you deserve a pat on the back for?

I got two work outs in so far and should get a third one in tonight. Also, I'm finally going to do it! My 13 year old is just ....... well 13. She was being difficult this morning and she called me stupid. HA! So I'm taking away her TV/DVD player for at least a week maybe more because I'm sure there could be some more name calling once she finds out I'm really doing it.

OK.....I can do this. Not fitness/health related at all.

Accomplished 3 things this week:

  • Classroom Newsletter- an update on what's going on in the classroom

  • School Newsletter- an article with tips for parents to keep in mind when packing their child's lunches

  • Staff Newsletter- this is something I suggested last year. Each month teachers, any staff member- gives me some news they want others to know about. It can be something you are looking for for the classroom, what you're up to that month.....whatever. It also includes upcoming birthdays. So far (I've done two issues) everyone seems to enjoy it.

LOL!! I MADE IT THROUGH THE WEEK, marbles (somewhat) still in tact!!!! LOL! I have FOUR boys ages 11, twins age 9, and my baby just truned 7 today. I also go to school three days a week and have to find time for my 55 minute workout!!! By Saturday I am EXHAUSTED. I don't sleep well either.
OOh, OOh, I also upped the weight that I curl while riding my excersize bike to 5lb!! I started at 2lb, then went to 3.3lb, not I am at 5lb. (I can't find the small weights in 4lb). My husband teases me b/c the weights are so "light" but when you are doing it for 45 minutes straight it gets ROUGH!! Especially on the days with my mind is on a million other things that I could/should be doing, it is harder to exercise and stay focused when you let your mind worry about other things! At least it is for me!!

Definitely a major pat on the back!! Not only keeping up with the 4 boys, and a birthday, but also on increasing the weights. Good for you :-)

I have to tell all u ladies that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this board!!! I am sorry that I am not able to get back and post more ofter :-{!! With school and things I am sooooo busy, and if I get on the computer I end up spending HOURS doing nothing but browsing (and posting of course!!) I have found my discipline in eating and exercise, but I have absolutely NO SELF CONTROL when it comes to sitting on the computer for hours!! LOL Oh, that and shopping!! We had an event to go to last night, my husband is doing an "All Pro Dad" thing once a month, and I went shopping to get both of us some new clothes to wear. I left at 10:30am and when I got back to my car to go home I realized it was 1:45pm!!!! I was like OH CRAP!!! It takes me HOURS to shop, I try on hundreds of outfits (not literally LOL) and end up with 1 or 2. I MUST say, thought, that now that I am a size 9 instead of a 13 it is MUCH funner to shop!!!! I actually found a few size 7's that fit me, but I figure they were big for 7's--still felt good though!!!!:-) Isn't it funny how different clothes fit differently?!! You can have the same exact brand, style, but a different color will fit completely different!!!!
Sorry I have gotten off subject. I just wanted to send out to all you AWESOME people who are SOOOO supportive!!!! And say I am sorry for not responding sooner!! (I had a Physical Science test last Wednesday and an Algebra test last Thursday--I was studying -AND STRESSING-all week!!)
