Rainey are you making sure you take off your makeup before you workout?

I switched cleansers too Miranda. I think it has helped but at the same time I'm wondering if a periodic switch of products would be helpful.

However, the first week I used as directed morning and evening

I use one of those 'scrubby' ball things......kind of along the same as a loofah. I just feel it gets all that 'ick' of the day off me LOL!

My skin doesn't seem to do well with many products either Gretchen- they're either too drying, or like with a moisturizer it just slides off in the heat down here.

Pretty much soap and water for me, and a toner at night.

I'm one of the nevers. (there are a whopping 2 of us)

I used to have severe acne in college, worst possible time to have it you know. Until I completely gave up foundation (it's really hard to do when you have acne on your face and you want to cover it up) and I switched to Bare Escentuals minerals and Philophy products.

I use the Acne kit which is preventative and I use Hope in a Jar (which by the way makes your skin feel so soft and amazing) and then once a week I exfoliate with the Greatest Love (also Philosophy)

It was really hard to break my liquid foundation addiction but I think that really helped with my skin.

Y'know, up until a few years ago, I was always breaking out. Yuck. Then Dee introduced me to the Acne line of Philosophy and I have tweaked it to what works for me. Now I typically have one somewhere, either about to come out, or leaving. Before it was at least 3-5 all the time :(

IG, I totally know what you mean. During summer, I can't use a moisturizer (I'm already oil to begin with). And heck no when I go to Hawaii. What i learned though, is using a "moisturizing" toner helps with my dry skin areas. Not sure if you have that problem. And when I go to Hawaii, I tend to bring a stronger cleanser. too humid for me. lol.I totally adjust what I'm using during winter/summer or when I visit places.

The other thign that I found that I love.....is DH's cleanser line. He uses AcneFree. And well, I stole his "medicated spot treatment". It's the ONLY one I have seen that is BOTH salicylic acid AND benzoyl peroxide. Usually within a few days, my pimples are gone. I love that stuff. Although, it may be strong for some.

I'm still trying to find somethign that works well, that isn't BP. DH's stuff seems to work on him (he used to breakout all the time, and now, nothing. I'm serious. MAYBE one every 4 months). But the reason I hate it....is because he bleaches everything. The towels, the bedsheets, the pillowcases. So, we've had to get white everything. I hate white. lol. The next line I may start on is Murad. Or something from Sephora (I have a gift certificate).

Alcohol on your face? ......I would think Smirnoff is a little too strong Cher, LOL- j/k! I know what you mean about using strong cleansers etc. they don't work for me either.

As for moisturizing, when I feel the need for it, I use 'Skin so Soft' oil- while still in the shower. Quick rub of it, and a rinse and I'm good to go. It also helps ward off the mozzies ;-)

Very interesting about the Philosophy products, maybe I'll try them if I ever need to. Thankfully I only have very mild acne right now, though it was quite bad when I was in my 20s. My problem is I have very, very sensitive skin which dries out extremely easily (plus I live in Chicago where 6 months out of the year the weather dries out your skin). Most acne products are severely drying to me and make me look much worse.

I did recently switch to Bare Escentuals makeup and I like it a lot.

I have very sensitive skin also, as well as mild acne.
