Glutamine Defficiency (sp?)

I have been working out since July and have went from 160 to 125!!! I ride a stationary and lift light pound dumbells while I am riding, then do squats, leg lifts on the weight bench, and situps. I am up to about a 55 minute workout. (For those of you who have already heard an explanation of my workout in other threads, I am sorry for the repeat :-))LOL!
I have been experiencing MAJOR pain in my shoulders, neck and back, and it has got worse since I have went from 3.3 lb weights to 5 lb weights. I talked to someone at the local GNC Nutrition store who told me that I seem to be burning too much Glutamine. AGH! Just when I thought I was doing something right by diet and exercise, I find out I am deficient in one of the KEY amino acids for metabolism!! (or something like that!) How frustrating!!!
Does anyone know anything about this or have any suggestions? PLEASE and THANX in advance!!

First of all, I'd double check with your doctor before you take advice from nutritional supplement stores.

I totally agree with Miranda here, check with a doctor....even if it's just a friend in the medical field before listening to the store. Miranda makes a great point- they do have a vested interest in selling you (any) of their products, not that they are wrong....but just be sure before you go changing anything too drastically.
