Hi Trish-

I just started a combo South Beach/Weight Watchers on Monday for diet. Exercise for me has been a variety of dvd's that I do at home. I would like to get in to the gym on the weekends.

Hmmm... I've been on and off this diet/fitness cycle of mine for "FOREVER" :-) I get serious for a little while, fall off, then get back on plan

So...with this newest quest of mine I'm hoping to lose 20 pounds total! Here's looking at STAYING on plan ;-)

Vanessa,
Same here I'm always on again off again with both wt. lose and exercise. I've tried WW and SB just not at the same time. I'm a WW junkie I keep going back for more but never stick it out for the long haul. SB I just did recently but I couldn't stick to it. I did Atkins once upon a time and since going back to carbs I haven't been able to kick the habit again. Good luck to you though keep me posted on your progress.-Trish

I have been involved in fitness in one way or another most of my life. I love sport and enjoy working out (except for running)

I've been dieting for what feels like my entire life. I go from one extreme to another I could be at he gym 7days a week then I won't go near it for a yr. I'm currently trying to follow the food guide pyramid. Eating the right carbs, more fruits and veggies, at least two servings of LF dairy a moderate amount of protien and of course water, water, water. Once I get my eating habits under control I'll start to focus my attention on a exercise plan. Time is a big factor in everything there's never enough of it.-Trish

Hi Trish,

I've been doing Hypnosis to assist me in my weight loss goals. My problem was eating the right foods and not exercising. I figured if I can change the way I think and feel about exercise, then I would be more successful and it's working. I started the program 8/28/06 and to date, I have lost 18 lbs. My goals is to lose 60lbs. The program I'm using with the Hypnosis is balancing protein, essential fats, fiber and carbs, keeping my calories at a particular number. It's not coming off as fast as I'd hoped, but I'm staying positive, since it is working. This board has helped me to stay focused with the positive reinforcement from everyone. :-)

Yeah - I can't stick to South Beach for long - I LOVE my carbs :-) WW is such a GREAT plan I just need to plan better most of the time :-)

Good luck to you too and I will keep you posted on my progress!

Trish,

My exercise program at the moment is the Slim Series with Debbie Siebers. I'm not on any one particular diet really. I use fitday.com to track my calories and keep an eye on my fat/carb/protein #s.

I'd like to lose 10 lbs. but could live with just changing the way my body looks. More toned flatter stomach etc.

Hi Trish, about me:

I've been here since about 2003, perhaps even before that. Initially I was losing weight as I was in my friends wedding. I lost 22lbs back then :-)

Since then I've fluctuated up and down about 15lbs or so. Currently I have about 14lbs to go and then I'll see where I'm at and re-evaluate if need be.

For exercise....when I do, lol- it's walking, Leslie Sansone tapes, Yoga, biking and swimming. I don't belong to a gym. For food....I really just try to stay balanced- I believe "Moderation IS Key".

Good to have you here with us!

Hi Trish,

I have been dieting on and off since 1997. I was 210 at my heaviest and took 8 months of a low calorie and exercise to drop down to 145. I then got preganant with my second daughter six months later and ended at 175. I have yo yo from 160 to 190 for the past 6 years. I got back on track this past January when I hit 190 the highest I have been in 5 years. I started same plan, low calorie 1200 calories day with exercise at the gym 5-6 times a week. I do step classes, kickboxing, 24 set with weights and do the epilictal. I am now at 163 and hope to be at my goal of 145 by the January. I am plannin my daughter's quincenaera party and that will be May 5 07. We are being fitted for our dresses in February so that why I have to keep at it.
