How many hours do you have???

Y'know, I've been trying to figure out why I am lacking any sort of motivation to do anything. I know it has come down to a big schedule change. I go to bed with DH, so sometime btwn 9 and 10pm. But I realized, I get home at 6pm from work. So, think about it. Let's say it takes me 30 mins to wash up for bed, and 30 mins for dinner, and let's assume I don't do anything else. That means, I have 2-3 hours, for whatevers.

I think this is why, I don't want to do anything. I get up at 6am, go to work, get home at 6pm. All I want to do is relax. Not workout.

So, I'm curious, do you tend to schedule yourself so you're constantly busy? How much time do you have from the time you get home, to the time you go to bed (if you work out after work)?

I seriously was starting to think maybe I should workout in the morning, however, that would mean, getting to sleep no later than 9pm, and waking up around 4:30 or so.

I do yoga that I've taped off TV or a workout video that I own in the morning at home.

Thanks. I have thought about that. Doing something in the morning. I have yet to find out if it's worth it for me to try and wake up that early. lol. Soo not a morning person, but I'm beginning to think, it's either early in the morning or late at night.

I wish i could do somethign at lunch, unfortunately, it'd cost too much in gas to drive home, and I don't have enough time to shower and return. :( I used to walk at lunch, but I'd hate going back to my desk, even warm and slightly sweaty. It'd gross me out. Especially if I'm wearing something nice.

Am I making excuses NOT to work out? I don't know. I someteims feel as if I am, but at the same time, I'm trying to be realistic. kwim?

thanks for the input though.

Cher,

My daily schedule looks like this:

3:00 - 3:10am - wake up, bathroom, fix coffee
3:10 - 3:30am - drink coffee, eat a portion of a protein bar, smoke a cigarette
3:30 - 4:30am - work out & stretching (sometimes start this by 3:20am)
4:30 - 5:00am - drink water, hypnosis session (cool down while doing hypnosis
5:00 - 5:15am - decide what to wear to work
5:15 - 6:00am - shower, prepare to leave house
6:00 - 6:15am - pack my lunch for work
6:15 - 4:45pm - drive to work, work (7:00-4:00)and drive home from work
4:45 - 5:00pm - unwind from drive home
5:00 - 5:10pm - check homework
5:15 - 5:45pm - Hypnosis session
5:45 - 6:30pm - prepare dinner (go to store if I have to)
6:30 - 7:00pm - Dinnertime
7:00 - 8:00pm - quality time with my two sons
8:00pm - Go to bed (watch TV until I fall asleep)

I try to have one or two days a week that I don't workout, then I wake up at 4:30 to do the coffee, protein bar and hypnosis session. Saturday & Sundays, whatever time I wake up, half hour later, I'm doing my workout. Two hours after that I do my house cleaning. By 11:00am I'm done with the hard stuff (workout and cleaning). The rest of the day I do whatever.

My schedule is as follows,

Get up and go to work, then at lunch I go work out for 50 mintutues 3 times a week, and 4 times a week i go straight to the gym right after work from 5:30-6:30 then go home and eat dinner as my husband cooks and he picks up the girls, so right now he has been very helpful allowing me to get my workout done. So I think you have to make a point of putting yourself first for a couple of months to get you going.

6:00 - Get up shower and get ready for work
6:30 - Eat breakfast/watch TV
6:50 - Get Sidney ready to go/pressure other kids to get moving/watch TV/Get first 10 to 20 oz. water in
7:15 to 7:30 - leave to drop off Sidney and the older kids for school
8:00 - Work
12:00 - lunch/errands
1:00 Work
5:00 Pick up kids/post office/store if needed
5:30 Workout
6:10 - Shower (if needed, sometimes throw Sidney in with me to save time)
6:30 - Dinner
7:30 - Sidney bath/laundry/other chores
8:30 - 9:00ish curl up with Sidney till she falls a sleep/read/visit with older girls
9:30 - DH time/TV time
10:00 to 11:00 depending on what's on and DH bed time no later than 11:00

This is how I'd like things to go and probably does 3 out of 5 days during the week. Need to come up with stricter routine for the weekends.

If I don't get that workout in as soon as I get in it's less likely to happen. Usually the time I put Sidney to bed she watches TV and I read fro maybe 30 minutes then lights out and boring TV so she drifts off to sleep. My older girls often come in and visit during this time. In theory this is suppose to be the hour DH and I have to ourselves. He plays music and I read. Ha! He is in and out of his music room all evening I have to ask for help if he is going to contribute anything and he does sometimes. Girls no this is a good time to get my undivided attention so they often intrude on the reading time which bugs me sometimes but don't want to miss an opportunity or miss something important if they feel the need to talk.

OHMIGOD!!! How do you do that!!! See, I feel like, there is no way I could wake up that early. sheesh. that's crazy. However, I'm beginning to thinik I may have to turn into that morning person. I may not like it, but I may have to do it (kinda like waking up at 5:30am to play golf. lol).

Okay, I see you also do the lunch thing. I have come to realize, that lunch is my time to either do 1. errands or 2. relax.

I'm trying to find some sort of balance. I can't feel like I'm on the go all day long, cuz then I'll burn out.

I think I may have to go to the gym after work. As much as I hate the gym, the gym at my apt complex is so busy after work, I have a better chance at the gym, I think. I'll just have to get over my anxiety, because DH is definitely no help. lol

Wow. Now that's a schedule. Maybe I need to do that too, and set my alarm or something. I know, the longer I'm
