How many hours do you have???

Y'know, I've been trying to figure out why I am lacking any sort of motivation to do anything. I know it has come down to a big schedule change. I go to bed with DH, so sometime btwn 9 and 10pm. But I realized, I get home at 6pm from work. So, think about it. Let's say it takes me 30 mins to wash up for bed, and 30 mins for dinner, and let's assume I don't do anything else. That means, I have 2-3 hours, for whatevers.

I think this is why, I don't want to do anything. I get up at 6am, go to work, get home at 6pm. All I want to do is relax. Not workout.

So, I'm curious, do you tend to schedule yourself so you're constantly busy? How much time do you have from the time you get home, to the time you go to bed (if you work out after work)?

I seriously was starting to think maybe I should workout in the morning, however, that would mean, getting to sleep no later than 9pm, and waking up around 4:30 or so.

My schedule:

Monday through Friday

5:50am: Get ready for work

6:05am: Leave for work

430-5pm Get home and get into work out clothes on M/W/F without thinking about it

Tuesday and Thursdays I am sneaking in a quicky cardio

Weekends I am usually shopping, doing errands so walking around and beating the crowds puts me in a sweat but I will usually try to get a full body (weights and cardio) workout in on either day.

Well, I actually meant, doing 30-60 mins of homework a night. Instead of doing it ALL at once. So, I'd do that everynight. :) Sometimes breaking it down helps. Like tonight, I have class, homework due in both classes, a quiz in one. and all due before 6pm. yikes.

yeah, I wouldn't recommend that either, for any sane person. Oh, I mean morning person. lol. Unfortunately, I get my second wind usually around 10pm. So I want to get out there and run run run. Yeah, but its time to sleep. So, although I'm a night person, I have been conditioned to wake up early and hate mornings even more. lol. I figure, I can give this schedule a go, and if not, then I'll have to figure something out. Wish I was a morning person like you or DH. It'd make thigns 100x easier.

Righteous, huh? Interesting. Strange woman. Nah, we'll see how righteous I feel tomorrow. Or how crappy and tired I am. lol. Nah, I know exercising helps in the AM, however, let's see how long I'll last, or if I'll be puttering by 2pm or something. Tomorrow is judgement day, lol. or at least day one. i have 10 weeks until my 5k. DH may not be doing anything, but that's his perogative. I'm going to see if I can lose at least 15 lbs and be able to run 5k straight. lol.

This may be a little long because I have a crazy schedule that my own husband has a hard time keeping track of.

If I have had the weekend off:

Monday - get up between 7 and 7:45 throw on any old thing and run dd to school. Come home and wake son up and nag him to get ready for school until 8:30 and then drop him off at school.

AM 8:30 to 10:00 get ready for the day, surf the web, housework

10-12:15 get ready for, go to Taekwondo, and head home.

PM 12:30-2:30 take a nap

2:30 pick up dd from school, 3:10 walk to the corner and watch for ds to walk home.

3:15 to 5:00 oversee homework and snacks, shower, make dinner

5:00 - 5:30 pack lunch and dinner, get ready for work and leave.

5:30PM - 6:30AM Work

6:30 - 7:40 sleep then take dd to school

7:40-8:15 wake up ds, see him off to school

8:30-2:30 sleep

(REPEAT OF PREVIOUS NIGHT) Except for drop kids off at TKD around 4:30, hangout for a little while before

There are some crazy schedules on this board! I don't think I would handle working a night-shift very well at all!

Kudos to all you ladies who are scheduled to the hilt and still manage to get that exercise in!

i know this is really late but i have a similar problem. Dh's job causes him to be away for significant periods of time, and when he is gone its much easier for me to get up in the morning and workout, but when he is home, it is SO hard to make the time because by the time i get up, go to work, come home take care of the kids, get the kids to bed and then make time for him...

so now I just try to work a LOT harder when he is away to make for the slack...
so my day looks like this

5:45-6 - wake-up and workout
6:45 - shower, put on my breakfast
7-7:30 - get dressed
7:30-8:25 - get kids dressed fed and out the door to school
9:30-5:30 - work
6 - activity or home - depends (DS takes TKD on Mon/wed, thurs was soccer but basketball starts tomorrow - other days have dinner
7:00 - dinner if activity night/otherwise bathe kids/eat
7:30 kids to bed, clean kitchen
8 in bed to watch tv/read til i go to sleep..
