Today (because it is freezing here, and I love to think about getting away!) the questions are all TRAVEL related!

1) If you had to move 100 miles or more to the north, east, west, or south, which would you choose, where would you end up, and what's so great about there?
1) If you had to move 100 miles or more to the north, east, west, or south, which would you choose, where would you end up, and what's so great about there? lol, I thought it said just 100 miles too. 100 miles would be pretty much nowhere and not that much of an improvement.
I'd move back East to Ohio. I have family there that's where I grew up.
2) Do you have a favorite stretch of highway or byway for driving, touring, or wandering? I like heading up to SD black hills area and/or Devils Tower. It get's more beautiful the farther North you go and it's a totally different view on the way back.
3) Are you happier to start a trip or return home? Probably to return

I think I'd go West to British Columbia, it's a bit warmer there!
2) Do you have a favorite stretch of highway or byway for driving, touring, or wandering?
I love driving Highway 3 from the Rocky Mountains West. It is a beautiful tree lined highway, and some places the trees arch over the highway so you are driving through this lush green tunnel!
3) Are you happier to start a trip or return home?
Definitely start! Although I will say that if I've been away for

Better late....

My choices are limited to Anguilla (east) or Puerto Rico (west)-- would go to either if I had to. I hear Anguilla is beautiful, and PR has a lot to offer, especially compared to a small island like here.
2) Do you have a favorite stretch of highway or byway for driving, touring, or wandering?
It's in Ireland- driving down through the mountains in Co. Wicklow.
3) Are you happier to start a trip or return home?
Another homebody here. Although I'm happy and excited to get away, I do seem happier to be on my way home.
4) Plane, train, automobile, bicycle, or foot?
Depends on if I'm alone or not. Alone: plane. With company: car.
5) Do you overplan or underplan your travels? (Assume that "no" is not a valid answer.)
Underplan.....I enjoy just to go with the flow :-)

I have moved enough times in my life and have lived in very different places (Oregon, Oklahoma, Washington, Michigan, Florida) that I realize the grass really isn't greener on the other side. However if I had to move 100 miles it would not be East (That would be in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean), it would not be West (That would be an economically depressed area in Florida) so that leaves either South (Daytona Beach) or North (Savannah, GA). I am thinking it would be Savannah. It is a beautiful city with a lot of history. Plus the cost of living is awesome compared to where I am now, and it is in the territory I cover for work so I wouldn't have to quit my job!
2) Do you have a favorite stretch of highway or byway for driving, touring, or wandering?
Not really.

~I would go north and wind up closer to where I grew up in the islands below Victoria Canada. The funny thing is I can't really decribe what is so great about it. It's more like a feeling I guess. We moved there when I was really young and the town was more of a tourist resort. We only had 1 grocery store and 1 gas station. It was very remote. My parents live on the water and our house was forrested back in the day. I remember going to school, going to the local (very old) shops with friends, starting college on a campus that overlooked the ocean, going down to the local beach where the carnaval came, everyone knowing everyone else and always knowing atleast 1 person working in every restaurant and shop in town. I felt very sheltered and away from the "world". It got boring when I became a teenager and hungered for more excitement. As an adult I can appreciate it more. I now live somewhere that I hardly know anyone, just a few neighbors, it's still forrested here but not to the same degree as where I grew up. I am closer to the big city here and with that comes a certain impersonalness. I don't feel as connected here. Dh and I want to move back but as you can imagine jobs are hard to come by there so it won't be until dh retires that we can move back and that won't be for a long time.
2) Do you have a favorite stretch of highway or byway for driving, touring, or wandering?
~Not for driving, although the peninsula is a nice drive. Driving doesn't relax me. I like some of the nature trails around here though.
3) Are you happier to start a trip or return home?
~Depends on where I am going! If it's to family then I am happier starting. If it's to a trip somewhere else then it's going home.
4) Plane, train, automobile, bicycle, or foot?
~Bike
5) Do you overplan or underplan your travels? (Assume that "no" is not a valid answer.)
~Overplan all the time. The one time I try to be rational and underplan is when I forget something really important!
