Thanksgiving Weight

Happy Belated Thanksgiving from across the pond. I am so stoked and wanted to let someone know that not only had I managed to make a thanksgiving meal, but have just weighed myself and lost another 1.5 pds. :) I really would love to loose at least another 7 before leaving for China..so wish me luck cuz I have about 3 and a half weeks to do it! My over all goal is to loose another 21.5 pds, for a grand total of 35 pds lost (I have already lost at least 10pds before signing back on). I just hope I don't loose my motivation like I did over the summer, I am still kicking myself that I was not as diligent, then again I am back on the wagon and did gain any weight whilst off it.

I hope everyone else had great post thanksgiving results. I think it might have been easier for me as well I was the main cook and thanksgiving is not as big here, so I was able to get away with only having a turkey breast joint, corn, stuffing and squash. Otherwise I am sure I would have been all over my sister's mash potatos and my mom's marshmello yams.

Take care all

They don't celebrate thanksgiving at all and I am often asked what the difference is between thanksgiving and christmas dinner is. I suspect that the Brits may see it as having two big holiday's meals and thus a bit glutonous. However, I have explained that one generally does not have turkey and all the fixings for both meals; we have lasange for Christmas. :)

** CONGRATULATIONS **

The first T'Giving I had was when I moved here, and even now I'm not that fussed about whether I celebrate it or not. I

China is a holiday trip off the back of business/academic. Should be quite nice and there is an indoor pool, so I need to get to a tanning booth as well as the gym. :)

What's the weather going to be like there? How long are you going for? Have you been there before? (So many questions, I know....I've never been to that part of the globe, and would love to, some day!) Will you be there for Xmas??

From what I have read, they have spring like weather, and yes we shall be there for Christmas. Should be about two weeks including travel and I have never been there before. I am sure it is going to be quite the experience given that neither of us speaks chinese at all. I just hope to god I don't gain any weight given the high sodium in some of the food and I will not have as much control over what is put into the food.

I'm pretty sure the food over there will be delicious, and healthy. It's not going to be the same as the 'take-away'...I did a search, and found these:

I know that Cordelia says that our American food has way too much sugar.
