... prior to a holiday? Or do you tend to do a slow slide into gluttony and lethargy as the holidays approach? LOL

If I'm on a roll leading up to the holidays, I'm usually pretty good. If I'm on a bit of a downward slide, however, I tend to let everything go to pot thinking I'll start over in January.

What helps you stay on track during the hectic holiday season?

Just making an extra effort to be active, and to save calories for certain situations like parties. So eat frugally all day if you have a dinner party to go to.

Do you have to plan more or do you tend to just go with the flow?

If I'm feeling particularly overwhelmed, I will pull out my trusty lists to get myself more focused. However, it's so easy to just go with the flow!

I'm not sure if you could call it 'more effort' but I do watch what's coming up and try to stay on line before a big event. Like on Saturday with our fundraiser....I'll be sure to eat something before I go. They serve hor's dourves, but I usually don't bother, and just go with the wine, lol-- so something to line the stomach before hand is a good idea.

- I suppose I put in more effort prior to the holidays although my battle seems to be year-round these days :-)

What helps you stay on track during the hectic holiday season?

- Journaling. It's SO easy for me to grab a cookie here, a piece of candy there, etc. So I really have to make a conscious effort to journal everything I eat!

Do you have to plan more or do you tend to just go with the flow?

- I definitely have to schedule my workouts because as the festivities get more hectic, my workouts are usually the 1st things to go...

I definitely ge more lethargic during the holidays...maybe between being so busy and eating so much more sugar.
