I've seen earmuffs that look like this:

I have those earmuffs and they do stay in place pretty good while jogging. Mine say 180s on the back.

...no need for them down here, but I think a hat of some sort might work better, well at least stay in place while jogging.

You could also go to a ski shop and get a headband. This should also keep your hair out of your face and your ears warm. They should also allow for a pair of headphones as well. And I imagine they might be a bit cheaper; especially if you skip the ski shop and go get a standard cloth headband and your local market.

Thanks for the review Jenn!! And welcome! I hadn't tried those ones before, but they looked a little snugger than some of the older ear muffs!!

Thank you for the suggestions - the wrap around (180s) earmuffs look like a good bet. Otherwise I will look for a ski shop. That made me laught at first. South Dakota, especially Eastern South Dakota if FLAT. Known for wind, not skiing! LOL. But I guess we do have cross county skiing. A sports store should have gear for that.
