Here's a quiz to find out how you handle it:

http://quiz.ivillage.com/health/tests/holtest.htm?nlcid=er|12-13-2006|

Please remember that test results are dependent upon numerous factors. Test results can be affected by your mood or state of mind at the time you take the test. Also, please keep in mind that we are often a combination of different types, and the results section of this test will give you only your most dominant type.

Personally I think I'm pretty level headed through the holidays- this year I'm looking forward to it so much. Last year my parents came out, and that caused some stress, they stay with me for the duration....and I'm used to my own space- they don't seem to understand the suggestion of a hotel (of which I'm glad to pay part of).

They plan on coming out at the end of Jan 07. Be forewarned ;-)

My results of the quiz:
"Full Steam Ahead (Damn the Torpedoes!)"

You love the holiday season and have been planning for it all year. When it comes to the holidays, you don't let anyone or anything get in the way of enjoying the season. You are the type who doesn't let holiday hassles get you down. You refuse to crack under the pressure of the holiday season. You stay calm, cool and collected, no matter what. If a problem arises, you are not afraid to ask someone for help. You don't overdramatize. You are very organized. You are a master of improvisation, if problems do arise. You aren't afraid of a little change of plans! You aren't impulsive. You probably started shopping for gifts in July! You carefully pick our your gifts and plan your holiday meal. You are confident in yourself and in your abilities to handle things, but know how to take time for yourself if things get overwhelming! You know how to have the best of all worlds when it comes to the holidays! However, just remember, if you work too hard to avoid your problems, you might miss out on some challenges and opportunities for new experiences. Otherwise, you have all of the capabilities of making this the most special holiday season yet!

Perfect, apart from starting to shop in July, lol!!!!

Odd, I got the same thing as you did. I'm sure I answered the questions to reflect the fact that I about had a nervous break down in wal-mart this morning. lol I really don't like the holidays!! I mean there okay and when all is said and done great and I try to go with the flow but still fret over money and the kids being disappointed and getting everything done etc. I would really like to skip Christmas.

What I'm Reading!

Come on over and join us!

WEll I think it hit the nail on the head for me ...

"If You Can't Say Something Nice ..."

You love the holiday season and look forward to it all year. You try not to let anyone or anything get in the way of your enjoying it, but that isn't always possible. You sometimes let the things that people say or do get you down. You rarely crack under the pressure of the holiday season but sometimes can't help but let things get to you. You are able to stay fairly calm and usually aren't afraid to ask people for help or to listen when you need to vent! You are pretty organized but aren't afraid of spontaneity. If plans change, you can just go with the flow with only a tiny bit of anxiety! You usually prefer to have holiday meals at others' homes so you don't have to burden yourself with meal planning and cooking. You have confidence in yourself and your abilities, but sometimes you have a twinge of worry about the suitability of the gifts you picked out! Just remember, if you do start to get that twinge of worry, look back on your past Christmas successes, and take a deep breath! Also, remember when your relatives get on your nerves, you can just bite your tongue and grab a quick breath of fresh air! If you keep those tips in mind, you will have your best holiday season yet!
