That *TOM* again!!!!

Alright girls.......it's arrived very early, and surprised the heck out of me- however all the triggers were there for me to see.

Yesterday I was in a deep slump, and just couldn't get out of it; there were even several bouts of tears- for no reason whatsoever!! It drove me cRaZy.....but then this morning it all made sense!

The other trigger was a 'hate-this-body' feeling I've had for the past couple of days. Nothing fit right, I didn't feel good in anything. Not a very positive way to start the year off.

The good thing is I know I'll feel so much better about myself in just a few days ;-)

I know this is something we've discussed before but- What other triggers/PMS symptoms do you experience? And how do you deal with them?

I get oddly emotional too!

Also, cravings. Not always for the same things. Sometimes creamy things or cream filled things like HoHos or longjohns. Sometimes milk, once tuna? Or fried things, which I usually don't eat much of at all.

And cramps - Yoga helps

I'm usually hungrier than normal, no real cravings, I just don't seem to fill up.

Yoga is wonderful for that TOM....thanks for the reminder. I have a new dvd (that I also have in vhs) and it's still unopened. Maybe I should open it up and do this evening!

....guess I'm lucky not to suffer from the headaches Sonia, that sounds awful! No wonder you work on through the pills ;-)

Nice to see I am not the only one that has a hard time with TOM! It seems TOM has gotten worse in my 30's. It's also worse in the winter for me. I try to get a lot of sunlight, strangly it really works, and to do slow steady excersise like walking. I get really exhausted so it's not the easiest thing, but slow, not even moderate walking makes me feel better. I also try to stay out of conflicts if I can. I am not in the proper frame of mind to take on more than I have to. For me TOM starts about 7-8 before, and about 2-3 days in the symptoms go away. I don't know how that compares to everyone else but I am thinking 11 days out of the month is a little excessive and I am not too happy about it. As you can tell I am about to experience the happy event myself soon. I really wish there was a magic cure. I woke up this morning mulling over 4 things in life that really bother me for no reason and knew it was because TOM was starting and my mind was going to depressing subjects. I have heard the pill YAZ is the first pill they prescrive that cuts the symptoms of PMS and the other type of PMS that is stronger (forgot what it's called). I don't tolerate hormones well (my hair falls out among other things) but if I were the type to tolerate them well I would try this...heck still might...just waiting for my hair to fill in a little more before I do something that makes it fall out again!

I use to suffer horribly from estrogen with drawl when I was on the pill. I'd be in bed all weekend. So GYN was going to switch me pills and ooops got pregnant during the switch and haven't been back on any sense and it's just so bizarre how long I put up with the headaches now that I only have an occasional one.

What I'm Reading!

Cramps can be life stopping (in my opinion...) luckily I don't suffer too badly from them. Usually just at the beginning, and then they ease off. They're tolerable.....my back also aches- before the main event! (Didn't this time though)

I think you have it there Danni-- my mind wanders off in a depressing direction. I'm usually a happy go lucky person, and very few have seen me at my worst- but that's what happens. I *wish* there was a magic pill too. (I've heard that about YAZ too)
