That *TOM* again!!!!

Alright girls.......it's arrived very early, and surprised the heck out of me- however all the triggers were there for me to see.

Yesterday I was in a deep slump, and just couldn't get out of it; there were even several bouts of tears- for no reason whatsoever!! It drove me cRaZy.....but then this morning it all made sense!

The other trigger was a 'hate-this-body' feeling I've had for the past couple of days. Nothing fit right, I didn't feel good in anything. Not a very positive way to start the year off.

The good thing is I know I'll feel so much better about myself in just a few days ;-)

I know this is something we've discussed before but- What other triggers/PMS symptoms do you experience? And how do you deal with them?

TOM is worst for me during the first couple of days, and prior to it I do feel overly emotional and I too sometimes struggle to make the connection. Years ago I started marking it on the calendar and I could connect my inexplicably dark days

Men have it easy in comparison......no backache, no cramps, no childbirth. Can you imagine them 12 times a year putting up with a period? LOL

(I have a friend who says we all make this sh!t up!!! (I think he does it just to irk me even more; it does!!!)

I was relatively cramp-free PRE-kids but after the kids were born I started getting BAD cramps.

Nope never went back to the pill, DH got fixed after Sidney! Yay!!! However, I do miss the pill because my skin hasn't been so great since.

Anyway, yep it was Sidney we were blessed with though it took me till I actually was able to see her for me to feel blessed. Weird how things work out. Don't know what I'd do without her. With 3 teenagers it's nice to know someone still likes me unconditionally. lol

Can you do anything about the stomach issues Vanessa? I take it you're not referring to cramps....'suppose the best thing on those days would be to make sure you're drinking enough water.

My TOM is really horrible, granted I thank god it comes! My problems/pain start with ovulation, then goes away till a few days before I start. I tend to get irritable which my boyfriend notices straight away. The give away is when I say I am just fine a few dozen times. I also really like my privacy and will get a little snippy and want some alone time. Did I mention I also start to feel fat, super sensitive and really cuddle needy. My poor sweetie is driven mad for a half day til I will fess up and say I am pmsing...he is good as long as i acknowledge it and don't fight that it's my period turning me into atila the hun. The cramps are horrible and often I have him sit on me to apply pressure. I get hungry but cant eat cuz I want to lose more weight and what else, it seems to last a freaken long ass time! Its due to arrive in about a week...can ya tell! I find that exercise helps with the cramping and nice long hot showers, otherwise I feel like a walking/talking tub of jello all squishing and full of fluid...sorry not a a nice picture, but I think I know what it must be like to be jubba the hut!

~~~ Deep Breath Monet ~~~
Seems you gave this question some thought...or perhaps it's because you're going through many of the symptoms at
I've never taken anything for it IG and it could be that I'm popping so many daggone Aleve that it's upsetting my stomach but I've been trying to do much better with the water so far this year and maybe that will help! You know me and my history of water lol
It's funny to see how wide ranging the PMS symptoms can be! I was totally asymptomatic before my 30's and then in my mid-30's it seemed to really hit me.
Now I get breast tenderness about 2 weeks before the main event, as well as insatiable salt cravings. Then about a week before to midway through I get back aches in my lower back. Luckily none of these are really horrible, and I can function just fine throughout.
